Epstein Survivors Blow Lid Off Trump Narrative, Demand Full Transparency
“This is not a hoax. It’s not okay for us to be silenced.”
On September 3, 2025, the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking ring stormed Capitol Hill with one unified message: the truth must come out, no matter how many powerful men it exposes. With bipartisan lawmakers by their side, they demanded the full release of Epstein’s case files, every name, every document, without political spin or redaction.
A Bipartisan Stand for the Survivors
The press conference, organized by Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY), drew an unusual coalition of lawmakers, including hard-right figures like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert. At least ten women, some speaking publicly for the first time, took the microphone to confront decades of systemic silence. Chauntae Davies, a former flight attendant for Epstein, shared how she was “trapped” in his orbit, surrounded by the most powerful men in the world.
“He bragged about his powerful friends, including our current president, Donald Trump. It was his biggest brag, actually,” Davies said, describing trips that included not just Trump, but former President Bill Clinton and other elite figures.
Other survivors, including Marina Lacerda, refused to allow their trauma to be dismissed.
“This is not a hoax. It’s not going away,” Lacerda said. “It is not okay for us to be silenced.”
Survivors Take Control: “We’ll Make Our Own List”
Frustrated with delays and redactions, survivors like Lisa Phillips and others announced they are preparing to publish their own list of names if the Department of Justice refuses to act.
“We know the names,” Phillips said. “If they won’t release the files, we will. Survivors deserve transparency, and so does the American public.”
This bold step underscores a growing distrust between victims and federal agencies that have controlled access to Epstein’s files for years.
Trump’s Deflection: “A Democrat Hoax”
President Donald Trump, confronted with questions about the survivors’ demands, dismissed their calls for accountability.
“Nobody is ever satisfied,” Trump said, brushing off the press conference and once again branding the case files a “Democrat hoax.”
For survivors like Haley Robson, a registered Republican, that rhetoric is salt in an open wound.
“His ‘hoax’ comments just make you want to explode inside,” Robson said. “Please humanize us.”
The Push for Full Disclosure
At the center of the survivors’ demands is the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bipartisan bill that would compel the Department of Justice to release all unclassified records within 30 days. Redactions would only be allowed to protect survivor identities or ongoing legal processes. Rep. Thomas Massie confirmed he is only two Republican signatures away from forcing a House floor vote. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, often aligned with Trump, signaled a rare break from party loyalty, stating she is prepared to “name and shame” high-profile individuals if survivors provide documentation.
The Stakes: A Culture of Secrecy and Abuse
This press conference wasn’t about politics. It was about a system that protected Epstein and his powerful clients for decades, allowing them to exploit young women while authorities looked away. Les Wexner, the billionaire behind Victoria’s Secret, remains a symbol of that system. Wexner gave Epstein sweeping financial control and ignored red flags, including reports from women assaulted under the guise of modeling opportunities. Despite severing ties in 2007, Wexner insists he knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes, a claim survivors and investigators alike have challenged.
The Clock Is Ticking
The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking empire are done waiting. They want every file, every name, and every enabler exposed whether the administration cooperates or not. History will judge this moment harshly if powerful men continue to hide behind redactions and political talking points. Survivors have spoken clearly: transparency is non-negotiable.
