Congressman Eric Burlison Says Classified Briefings Reveal Intelligent Plasma Beings

Representative Eric Burlison Says Classified Briefings Show Evidence of “Plasma Beings” as Congress Pushes Deeper Into UAP Investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The congressional push for greater transparency surrounding unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) took another dramatic turn this week after Representative Eric Burlison discussed what he says he has witnessed during classified intelligence briefings, including evidence of mysterious plasma-like objects exhibiting extraordinary flight characteristics.

Appearing on the program Reality Check with journalist Ross Coulthart, Burlison described classified presentations he received inside Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), where intelligence officials and federal law enforcement reportedly shared videos and evidence of glowing aerial objects that remain unexplained.

It is important to note that Burlison’s comments reflect his account of classified briefings and interviews. The U.S. government has not publicly confirmed the existence of “plasma beings,” and no declassified evidence has established that the observed objects are living entities.

Classified Briefings Described Mysterious Plasma Objects

According to Burlison, one of the most compelling categories of evidence presented during classified sessions involved glowing plasma-like objects, sometimes referred to as “plasmoids.” He said the objects appeared to be roughly half the size of a sedan and demonstrated flight characteristics that current aviation technology cannot easily explain. Among the reported behaviors were instantaneous 90 degree turns, hovering without visible propulsion, and accelerating from a standstill to extremely high speeds in fractions of a second. Burlison said these flight patterns were presented as recurring observations rather than isolated incidents.

FBI Agents Allegedly Captured Their Own Footage

One of Burlison’s most notable claims involved evidence reportedly collected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. According to the congressman, FBI field agents responding to reports from private citizens encountered the same glowing objects firsthand. He said agents recorded video of the phenomena while investigating residential complaints, adding that the footage shown during classified briefings came directly from federal investigators rather than civilian witnesses.

If accurate, the existence of government recorded footage would represent a significant development beyond the numerous publicly available civilian videos that have circulated for years. However, none of the alleged FBI recordings have been publicly released.

A Shift Inside the Intelligence Community

Burlison also described what he characterized as a noticeable change in the position of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He said intelligence officials initially informed him they had found no evidence supporting extraordinary claims surrounding UAPs. However, according to Burlison, officials later requested another meeting after experiencing an event they reportedly could not explain. He said that second briefing reflected a more open acknowledgment that at least some observed incidents remain beyond current understanding.

The ODNI has publicly acknowledged that some UAP cases remain unresolved, but it has not publicly endorsed claims that the phenomena represent non-human intelligence or living plasma entities.

Congress Pursues an Aggressive Declassification Strategy

Beyond discussing the classified evidence, Burlison outlined what he described as a new legal strategy designed to obtain long hidden government records. Rather than issuing broad information requests that can receive generalized denials, he said congressional investigators are now submitting highly specific requests identifying exact documents, recordings, dates, and file names.

One example involves a reportedly classified 1952 reel to reel recording housed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. According to Burlison, the recording allegedly captures a U.S. Air Force general seeking scientific guidance during the famous 1952 unidentified aerial sightings over Washington. Because investigators requested the recording by its specific identifying information, Burlison said the laboratory acknowledged its existence and has begun reviewing it for possible declassification. He also confirmed that congressional investigators have submitted formal inquiries to organizations including MITRE Corporation regarding historical research programs, crash retrieval allegations, and advanced aerospace technologies.

Claims of Decades Long Secrecy

Burlison argued that if hidden UAP programs exist, their secrecy has been maintained through a structure developed after the Manhattan Project. He suggested that highly sensitive research was transferred into federally funded research and development centers and other quasi-private organizations, making oversight more difficult while limiting congressional access to information through compartmentalization.

No public evidence has independently confirmed the existence of secret crash retrieval or reverse engineering programs, although such allegations have become a central focus of recent congressional investigations.

Faith and the Possibility of Non-Human Intelligence

Burlison also addressed the broader philosophical implications of potential disclosure. Rather than viewing the possibility of non-human intelligence as conflicting with his Christian faith, he argued that biblical descriptions of angels and other spiritual beings already describe entities that are not terrestrial.

He characterized the eventual confirmation of what lies behind the UAP phenomenon as potentially one of the most significant discoveries in human history. Those comments reflect Burlison’s personal religious beliefs and theological interpretation rather than established scientific conclusions.

A Rare Area of Bipartisan Agreement

Despite sharp political divisions in Congress, Burlison said investigations into UAPs continue to receive bipartisan support. Lawmakers from both parties have increasingly called for additional hearings, greater transparency, and expanded access to classified information regarding unexplained aerial incidents.

In recent years, Congress has established multiple oversight efforts examining military encounters, intelligence reporting, and historical government records related to UAPs. While many questions remain unanswered, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle continue pressing federal agencies for additional disclosures.

Whether Burlison’s latest claims ultimately lead to new evidence remains uncertain. For now, they add to a growing chorus of current and former government officials calling for greater public access to information surrounding one of Washington’s most closely watched, and controversial, national security mysteries.
