Flight Attendant Fired
A former Alaska Airlines flight attendant is speaking out after losing her job over a viral TikTok video. Nelle Diala, who had been with the airline for just six months, says she was fired after posting a clip of herself dancing in the aisle of an empty plane.
The video, which quickly gained traction online, showed Diala twerking and celebrating what she says was the end of her probationary period. The early morning moment of joy, however, soon turned into a career-ending controversy.
Diala claims that shortly after the video went viral, Alaska Airlines terminated her employment. While the airline has not publicly commented on the specific reason for her dismissal, Diala believes her social media post played a major role in the decision.
“I was just having fun,” she said. “It was an empty plane before a flight, and I didn’t think it would be an issue. I never imagined I’d lose my job over it.”
The incident has sparked debate over workplace conduct and social media policies. Some support the airline’s decision, arguing that professionalism should be maintained at all times, while others believe the punishment was too harsh for a moment of harmless celebration.
Diala has since taken to social media to share her side of the story, gaining support from users who believe she was unfairly dismissed. Whether this will lead to a reconsideration from the airline remains to be seen, but for now, Diala says she is focused on moving forward and finding new opportunities
