Miami Yacht Owner Accused of Trafficking Teen Girls Held Without Bond

Miami Beach Yacht Owner Accused of Trafficking Teenage Girls Remains Held Without Bond as New Bodycam Video Emerges

Newly released police body camera footage is shedding disturbing new light on one of the most explosive human trafficking cases to emerge from South Florida’s luxury yacht scene in recent years.

According to Miami Beach Police Department, 45-year-old yacht operator Kutay Satiroglu was taken into custody in November 2025 after officers responded to allegations involving a 17-year-old girl reportedly being held against her will aboard a yacht docked behind a home on Pine Tree Drive in Miami Beach. The footage, obtained by WSVN 7News, captures officers calmly questioning Satiroglu moments before his arrest while investigators attempted to piece together claims involving physical abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

“You live here?” one officer asked.

“Yes,” Satiroglu responded.

Police later confirmed he was living aboard the yacht itself, not inside the waterfront property where the vessel was docked. The video shows officers asking whether Satiroglu possessed weapons onboard.

“Yes. I have a firearm there, yes,” he told officers, later explaining the weapon was secured inside a safe.

What began as a single investigation involving one teenager rapidly escalated into a sprawling criminal case after additional women came forward with allegations that painted a far darker picture of what authorities now believe may have been an organized pattern of exploitation operating through Miami’s charter yacht culture. A judge later ordered Satiroglu held without bond after prosecutors formally introduced human trafficking charges during his first court appearance.

“Human trafficking. Hold you with no bond,” a judge stated during the hearing.

Since that initial arrest, prosecutors have filed roughly a dozen criminal charges against Satiroglu, including kidnapping, battery, sexual activity involving a minor, and human trafficking related offenses. Authorities allege Satiroglu hosted drug fueled parties aboard the yacht as part of a charter business operation that investigators now believe may have been used to lure vulnerable young women and teenage girls into abusive situations. Multiple alleged victims have since publicly described violent encounters.

“He tried to get violent with me, and eventually I was able to fight my way safely out of the boat,” alleged victim Krissila Calderon told reporters.

Another woman, Sierra Bush, told 7News she believes she was victimized by the same man years earlier.

“Assaulted and trafficked, and I actually was as well by the same man,” Bush said.

Bush said trauma initially prevented her from reporting the allegations to law enforcement, a reality advocates say is extremely common in trafficking cases, particularly when victims fear retaliation, public exposure, immigration consequences, or further abuse. Investigators say the case expanded significantly after media interviews prompted additional witnesses and alleged victims to contact authorities.

The allegations emerging from the investigation are particularly alarming given South Florida’s long running reputation as a hub for luxury charter tourism, nightlife culture, and high end yacht entertainment, industries that have occasionally intersected with organized exploitation and trafficking investigations over the years.

Miami’s yacht scene has increasingly become a symbol of hyper wealth, influencer culture, and luxury excess, but federal and local investigators have repeatedly warned that the same environment can create opportunities for coercion, narcotics distribution, and exploitation hidden behind private parties and short term charter operations.

Human trafficking experts note that traffickers frequently use luxury settings to create psychological dependency and manipulation, particularly among younger victims drawn into environments promising money, status, travel, or protection.

The body camera footage itself is notably restrained and procedural, showing officers carefully gathering information while attempting to determine the whereabouts and condition of the alleged teenage victim. At one point, officers informed Satiroglu that the girl’s mother had contacted police directly.

“The mom called us, too,” one officer said.

“Yeah,” Satiroglu responded.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed additional details regarding the minor involved in the initial investigation due to her age. Satiroglu remains jailed without bond and is also reportedly facing an immigration hold as the criminal case moves forward through the court system. A hearing is scheduled for July 9. The investigation remains active, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges or additional victims coming forward.
