Woman Accused Of Filming Jurors

A Massachusetts woman accused of filming jurors during the Lindsay Clancy murder trial appeared in court Wednesday as authorities investigated allegations that she recorded members of the jury outside the courthouse.

The incident unfolded as jurors continued deliberating in the closely watched case involving Clancy, a Duxbury mother accused of killing her three young children in January 2023.

The woman, identified as 56 year old Dawn Light of Sutton, was arrested after a court officer reportedly noticed her in an area near the courthouse where jurors were leaving. Authorities allege that Light was using her cellphone to record people exiting the building.

Woman Accused Of Recording Jurors

According to investigators, Light initially told authorities that she had been at the courthouse because she wanted to record Clancy as she left the building. She denied intentionally recording jurors.

Investigators later examined Light’s cellphone and allegedly found videos involving people identified as jurors. Authorities said some of the recordings had been moved to the phone’s deleted files.

Light has been accused of aggravated intimidation of a juror or witness. She pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Judge Addresses The Jury

Clancy is accused of killing her 5 year old daughter Cora, 3 year old son Dawson and 8 month old son Callan at the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023.

Clancy has acknowledged killing her children but pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility. Her defense has argued that she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis and was unable to understand that her actions were wrong.

Prosecutors have disputed that argument and maintained that Clancy was criminally responsible for the killings.
