Sean Kingston’s Southwest Ranches Home Raided

Singer Sean Kingston’s Mother Arrested During Raid on Miami Mansion

Miami, FL – In a dramatic turn of events, authorities raided a Southwest Ranches mansion rented by singer Sean Kingston early Thursday morning, leading to the arrest of his mother, Janice Turner. The operation involved Broward Sheriff’s deputies and Davie Police SWAT members who were seen serving a search warrant at the luxurious property on Southwest 178th Avenue.

Officials confirmed that 61-year-old Janice Turner was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges. She is currently being held in Broward’s main jail with a bond set at $160,000. Aerial footage captured by Chopper 6 showed Turner being handcuffed and placed in the back of a Broward Sheriff’s Office cruiser.

The raid is linked to an ongoing lawsuit against Kingston for allegedly failing to pay for various high-end items, including a 232-inch television. Attorney Dennis Card, representing the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, claimed that Kingston has been involved in a series of fraudulent activities, luring people with his celebrity status to obtain goods without payment.

“He likes having bling, he likes showing off, he’s a showman,” Card stated. “My client has a $150,000 television sound system that’s in there, there’s also about $1 million worth of watches, and an $80,000 custom bed that was ordered. This is an organized systematic fraud.”

Sean Kingston, 34, known for his 2007 hit single “Beautiful Girls” and collaborations with artists like Justin Bieber and Soulja Boy, was not present during the raid. According to Card, Kingston has a history of similar fraudulent behavior, currently being on felony probation for trafficking in stolen property.

“He’s got basically a script, he says that he works with Justin Bieber, and that he obviously puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn’t own it, and he lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without him paying for it and then he simply never pays,” Card said.

The mansion, a 15,000-square-foot property with seven bedrooms, was last sold for $2.25 million in 2021. During the raid, a line of luxury cars was seen parked outside, underscoring the lavish lifestyle associated with Kingston and his mother.

Card also implicated Turner’s involvement in Kingston’s alleged schemes. “She’s complicit in it, she knows what’s going on,” he added.

Despite the serious allegations, Kingston took to Instagram to address the situation, stating, “People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!.. my lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”

Turner, who operates an Instagram page called “Mama Kingston Kitchen” selling her own brand of sauce, has a criminal history. Federal court records reveal that she pled guilty in January 2006 to multiple counts of filing false loan applications and bank fraud, resulting in a sixteen-month prison sentence followed by five years of supervised release.

As the investigation continues, authorities have not confirmed whether Kingston himself will face charges. Attempts to reach Kingston’s attorney for comment have so far been unsuccessful.

This incident adds to a series of controversies surrounding the singer, who suffered serious injuries in a personal watercraft accident in 2011. The unfolding events are sure to bring more scrutiny to the star and his family’s activities.
