Palm Beach Florida is always the place to be, but especially for Memorial Day. This year Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 30th where we will commemorate our fallen soldiers and appreciate their service. For many, this also means an extra day off allowing for a 3 day weekend. With Memorial Day typically denoting the beginning of summer, you can expect to see lots of boating, barbecues, and outdoor events! Whether you are paying homage to our fallen troops through an event or an activity personal to you there is no shortage of activities to do.  We can only hope that the sunny Florida weather plays nice but rain or shine we will still be honoring our fallen troops and enjoying the long weekend. Here are some of the best things to do in Palm Beach for Memorial weekend.

Hyundai Air and Sea Show May 28th-29th 

“The greatest show above the earth” showcases the equipment from all five branches of the United States military. Due to take place on the beautiful shores of Miami to “honor their sacrifice”. The sea events begin both days at 11:15am – 12:30pm. Air Events that will include USAF B-1 Bomber’s and USAFR HC-120J Hercules start as 12:45pm each day and conclude at 5:30pm. There will also be events from the parachute team, search and rescue team, and more! To round out the weekend 3 Doors Down will be playing from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday.

Miami’s Best Museums and Attractions 

Memorial Day weekend will be your last opportunity to visit attractions and museums in Miami for a discounted rate. From April 1st through May 31st you can explore Miami’s best museums and attractions such as the Miami History Museum and Flamingo Adventures at Everglades National Park with discounts from BOGO to percentages off. Check these out before the deal ends!

The Great American Beach Party 

This party returns on Saturday, May 28th beginning at 11:00am at Las Olas Oceanside Park featuring live bands, children’s events, sand sculpting, food, and a car show. This is a super family-friendly event and has a little something that should pique everyone’s interest. The event had been postponed for several years and expects to have a good turnout upon re-opening.

Concerts Festivals and Local Music 

South Florida has always been known for its great beach parties, boating parties, music and amazing festivals. Memorial Day does not disappoint and you can find a party or a concert for just about any taste. Popular EDM nightclub, Club Space in Miami will feature many artists such as Mochakk, Bob Moses, Ben Sterling and Knee Deep over Memorial Day weekend. Club Space attracts not only Floridians but club-goers from all over the United States for their music and hours of operation. Club Space is open Friday-Sunday with hours that being at 11 pm-12 pm the next day.

Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies 

If you are feeling more patriotic a parade or ceremony might be for you. Check out your town’s local website to see information on parades and events as many towns are participating in their own.
