Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are bringing their playbook off the field and into the kitchen with the official opening of their new steakhouse, 1587 Prime, on September 17, 2025. The date isn’t just symbolic for the duo—it also happens to fall on Mahomes’ 30th birthday. Reservations for the highly anticipated restaurant will go live on August 20 at 12 p.m. CST, and demand is expected to be fierce.
Located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, the two-story, 10,000-square-foot restaurant will deliver more than just premium cuts of steak. The space features sweeping views of Baltimore Avenue, multiple private dining rooms, a 20-seat bar, and design flourishes like a grand piano, custom art, and a VIP entrance. The concept, developed in partnership with hospitality group Noble 33, promises a multi-sensory dining experience that mixes classic steakhouse traditions with innovative, bold flavors. The name itself—1587—combines Mahomes’ and Kelce’s jersey numbers, a nod to the players’ larger-than-life presence in Kansas City.
The menu has been designed to stand out as much as its owners, featuring wagyu filet, Black Angus ribeye, and Japanese New York strip as part of a signature steak flight, alongside dishes like togarashi-fried chicken, shrimp in Diablo sauce, and even butter “flights” infused with truffle, hibiscus, and bone marrow. Sauces range from chimichurri to truffle soy, reinforcing the restaurant’s mission to elevate every plate. Kelce and Mahomes both teased the offerings in a promotional video, with Mahomes noting their desire to “bring something special for the city of Kansas City,” while Kelce added, “What’s better than to break bread with people over good food, good drinks, and a cool vibe?”
