North Fort Myers Woman Sentenced in Bestiality Case; Husband Awaiting Trial
LEE COUNTY – A North Fort Myers woman has been sentenced to three years in prison following her conviction on multiple charges involving bestiality and possession of obscene material. Her husband, who faces related charges, is awaiting trial.
Samantha Lee White, 28, was sentenced Wednesday in Lee County to three years in state prison followed by three years of probation. As part of her sentence, she is prohibited from owning or living with animals during her probation. She was also ordered to pay court costs and the cost of prosecution.
White was arrested in February 2024 alongside her husband, John White, 29, after an investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the couple engaged in sexual acts with multiple household pets, and that John White recorded video evidence of the incidents.
Following the arrest, Lee County Domestic Animal Services seized four dogs from the couple’s home. The animals were examined and are now in the care of a local shelter.
In July 2024, Samantha White was charged with three counts of possession of obscene material, including child sexual abuse imagery, and four counts of sexual contact with animals.
John White has been charged with six counts of possession of obscene material and two counts of sexual contact with animals. His trial has not yet been scheduled.
Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno called the case “disgusting” in a public statement and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to prosecuting crimes involving abuse.
“I will not tolerate any kind of abuse in Lee County,” Marceno said. “I stand by my guarantee to protect those who cannot protect themselves and put criminals behind bars.”
The sheriff’s office maintains a public database of individuals convicted of animal abuse in the county.
