It’s Getting Real Now Between Katy Perry and Ruby Rose… Now Police Involved

Have you heard this sh*t about Katy Perry? Do you even know who Ruby Rose (her accuser) is? This has become a classic game of “she said, she said”. The accusation against Perry is almost as comical as it is criminal? Well, apparently it is criminal. At least in Australia, it is. That is where this alleged incident took place. And that is where this alleged incident is now being investigated.

Before we (muff) dive into this story, pun intended, let’s go over who the two protagonists are.

Katy Perry is an American singer, songwriter, and television personality. She rose to fame in the late 2000s with hits like “I Kissed a Girl” and “Firework.” Known for her vibrant pop sound and colorful visuals, she’s sold over 18 million albums and 125 million singles worldwide. Perry has also been a judge on “American Idol” and remains one of the best-selling music artists ever. Perry has also had an interesting dating history. Currently she is with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Perry and Trudeau were first rumored to be dating in July 2025, and they publicly confirmed their relationship in late 2025. As of early 2026, they are reportedly serious, attending events like Coachella together. Katy had recently ended a long-term relationship with Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau had separated from his wife and stepped down as Prime Minister. Neither has officially confirmed the status beyond their public appearances.

Then you have Ruby Rose. Rose is an Australian model, TV presenter, and actress, born in Melbourne in 1986. She rose to fame with roles in “Orange Is the New Black” and as the lead in “Batwoman.” Openly gender-fluid and an LGBTQ+ advocate, she’s also been a mental health and animal welfare ambassador.

What Happened Between These Two?

Ruby Rose (on social media) recently accused Katy Perry of sexual assault at a Melbourne, Australia nightclub. She said it happened nearly 20 years ago. Rose said she was in her early 20s at the time, and that it took nearly two decades for her to speak out. So what did she say exactly?

The Orange Is the New Black star made the claims against Perry in posts she shared on Threads on Sunday. She must have been boiling over, because her comments seem pretty random considering where and the topic she left them on.

Rose replied to an article shared by Complex about the “Roar” singer reacting to Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance over the weekend. Rose alleged in the comments section, “Katy Perry sexual (sic) assaulted me at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s— what she thinks.”

In a follow-up reply, Rose added that she was “only in my early 20s” at the time of the alleged incident and “It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly.” “Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes,” she wrote.

In another Threads post, Rose alleged that Perry “saw me ‘resting’ on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her.”

HOLY SHIT! That’s quite the allegation. Imagine if an actor, let’s say, Austin Butler, said that he was in a nightclub and Kevin Spacey rubbed his d*ck under Butler’s nose. That would be a huge story. So you get it.

Katy Perry’s team has strongly denied the allegations, calling them false and reckless.

Police are Now Involved

The Australian actress Rose confirmed to the Herald Sun that she had taken the matter to the police.

“As of this afternoon, I have finalized all my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved,” she shared on Threads on Tuesday.

“It’s going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people’s experiences, but I’m not,” she continued. “This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief. I can start the healing process now. And temporary move forward. I love you all so much.”

In a post on Threads the day before, Rose said, “Today I will be walking into a police station to see if any of my experiences can be investigated. I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try.”

Recently, police confirmed they’re investigating a historical sexual assault allegation she made against Katy Perry, though no charges have been filed yet.

Rose had previously claimed that she was “not interested in filing a report over this” when she responded to a Threads user who claimed she was speaking out in connection to a Twitter feud she once had with Perry in 2017, when she slammed Perry’s song “Swish Swish.”

The actress went on to claim on Threads that Perry is “more than welcome to sue me (she won’t, because it happened, I have photos, and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people).” “Plus, there is so much more that happened in the years leading up to her silly song she won’t want me discussing. The psychological manipulation was strong with that one,” she added.

Following the allegations, Perry sent a short message to her fans on Tuesday. In an Instagram Stories post, the musician wrote, “i love you” alongside an image of her song “By the Grace of God” from her 2013 album Prism.

There really is only one question here. Is Perry really going to get in trouble for this? Seeing her A-list status, I’m betting on no. Rose would need some sort of serious evidence of this. This can’t be just a hearsay situation. She claims she has photos. While she may have photos, I’m throwing down that it is highly unlikely she has photos of the actual “vagina diner” incident.

There may be photos in the club that night. There may be selfies of her dancing. But without that serious proof, this may just be a fun story to report on. It ends there.
