New York’s Prince Street Pizza Opens in Dallas with Water from the Big Apple

A Taste of New York Lands in Texas

Prince Street Pizza, one of New York City’s most iconic pizzerias, has officially opened its first Texas location in Dallas. The highly anticipated opening took place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2820 North Henderson Avenue, the former site of Fireside Pies. Known for its thick, square Sicilian slices and viral pepperoni cups, Prince Street Pizza brings a slice of Manhattan to Texas, complete with one very New York twist: the water.

The Secret Ingredient: New York Water

What makes New York pizza legendary often comes down to one key ingredient — the water. To recreate that signature texture and taste in Dallas, Prince Street Pizza installed a specialized water filtration system designed to replicate New York City’s tap water. CEO Lawrence Longo confirmed the process, saying it’s the same system used in all locations outside the original Soho shop. According to the company’s official website, the filtration system “replicates the water used in New York,” allowing the dough to rise and bake exactly like it does in Manhattan.

Inside the Dallas Location

The new outpost sits on the bustling Knox Henderson strip, a neighborhood known for its nightlife and food scene, the perfect spot for late night pizza cravings. The Dallas shop features a walk up counter, limited dine in seating, and an outdoor patio, staying true to the brand’s fast, casual, New York style service. The atmosphere is simple, urban, and built for quick slices rather than long meals.

Menu Favorites and Late Night Hours

Fans can expect Prince Street Pizza’s cult classics, including the Spicy Spring, topped with fra diavolo sauce and crisp pepperoni cups, and the Naughty Pie, which combines spicy vodka sauce, ricotta, and hot honey. Other menu staples include traditional New York style pies by the slice or whole. The Dallas shop is open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday until midnight, and Friday and Saturday until 3 a.m., catering to the city’s busy late night crowd.

A National Brand Expanding South

The Dallas opening marks Prince Street Pizza’s 17th U.S. location, part of a growing national expansion that includes stores in Miami, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. For Dallas, it’s another sign of the city’s rise as a culinary destination that attracts high profile brands from across the country. For food fans in South Florida and beyond, it’s also an example of how restaurants use regional authenticity, in this case New York water, to market their brand identity across new markets.

The Bigger Picture

Prince Street Pizza’s arrival in Dallas isn’t just another restaurant opening; it’s a story about how regional taste is being replicated, bottled, and sold nationwide. The brand’s commitment to recreating New York’s distinct dough texture using filtered water shows how far companies will go to maintain authenticity. Whether Dallas diners buy into the water hype or not, one thing’s clear: Prince Street Pizza is betting that New York’s most famous slice can thrive deep in the heart of Texas.
