The League expands its global reach with first-ever games in Ireland and Spain. The National Football League has officially unveiled its 2025 International Games schedule, announcing a record-breaking seven international matchups spanning four European countries — a landmark expansion of its global initiative to bring American football to fans around the world.
In a move underscoring its long-term commitment to growing the game globally, the NFL will stage regular season contests in Dublin, London, Berlin, and Madrid, including historic firsts in both Ireland and Spain. The international slate also continues the league’s momentum in Brazil, which will host the season’s opening game.
Week 1: Brazil – Chargers vs. TBD (Sept. 5)
Kicking off the international campaign, the Los Angeles Chargers will play in São Paulo, Brazil. While their opponent has not yet been revealed, the game marks the NFL’s first regular season contest ever played in South America. The opponent will be announced on Wednesday.
Week 4: Dublin, Ireland – Steelers vs. Vikings (Sept. 28)
In a monumental occasion for Irish sports fans, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park in Dublin. This marks the first-ever NFL regular season game in Ireland, bringing gridiron action to one of Europe’s most iconic sporting venues.
Week 5: London, U.K. – Vikings vs. Browns (Oct. 5)
The Minnesota Vikings will make history again just one week later as the first team to play back-to-back international games in two different countries, traveling from Dublin to London to face the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This matchup also marks the 40th regular season NFL game played in London, a significant milestone in the league’s international evolution.
Week 6: London, U.K. – Jets vs. Broncos (Oct. 12)
Returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the New York Jets will meet the Denver Broncos in Week 6, offering U.K. fans another showcase of high-octane football at the NFL’s only purpose-built stadium outside the United States.
Week 7: London, U.K. – Rams vs. Jaguars (Oct. 19)
Wembley Stadium will once again host the Jacksonville Jaguars — playing their 14th game in the British capital — as they take on the Los Angeles Rams. The Jaguars’ continued commitment to the U.K. market highlights their growing brand presence overseas.
Week 10: Berlin, Germany – Colts vs. Falcons (Nov. 9)
Germany’s NFL fanbase continues to grow, and this season the Indianapolis Colts will host the Atlanta Falcons at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. This will be the fifth regular season game in Germany, with past games played in Munich and Frankfurt, and the first-ever in the capital city of Berlin.
Week 11: Madrid, Spain – Dolphins vs. Commanders (Nov. 16)
Rounding out the international series is a major first: the Miami Dolphins will face the Washington Commanders at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid C.F. This matchup will be the NFL’s inaugural regular season game in Spain, bringing the sport to a new passionate fanbase.
NFL Executive VP Peter O’Reilly celebrated the announcement, stating: “This record-setting slate of games continues our mission to bring the NFL to more fans around the world. From historic stadiums to new territories, 2025 will be a milestone year in our international expansion.”
With first-time games in Ireland and Spain, a team playing back-to-back international games for the first time, and continued commitments to key European cities, the 2025 International Games represent a bold step in the NFL’s ongoing journey to globalize American football
