Will Taylor Swift Attend the Super Bowl? High-Profile Guests Expected in New Orleans

As anticipation builds for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, speculation continues over whether pop superstar Taylor Swift will attend the game to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift, who has attended multiple Chiefs games this season, was reportedly spotted in New Orleans, fueling rumors that she will be in the stands when the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Swift’s Super Bowl Plans

Swift was seen dining in New Orleans on Friday night alongside Kelce, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, according to reports from NOLA.com. While Swift has not officially confirmed her attendance, her presence at last year’s Super Bowl and the AFC Championship game suggests she may once again support Kelce from the stands.

Swift has become a fixture at Chiefs games this season, leading to a surge in television ratings and a rise in fan engagement. Her attendance has even become a betting proposition, with sportsbooks offering odds on how many times she will appear on the broadcast and whether Kelce will propose to her during the event.

Donald Trump to Make Historic Super Bowl Appearance

Former President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Super Bowl, marking the first time a sitting or former U.S. president has been at the game in person. Trump, who is in the middle of his re-election campaign, has not indicated which team he will support, though he has publicly congratulated the Chiefs on reaching the Super Bowl while remaining silent on the Eagles.

Trump’s presence comes amid a historically fraught relationship with the NFL. During his first term, he criticized NFL players who knelt during the national anthem to protest police violence, including members of the Eagles. In 2018, after most of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team declined a White House invitation, Trump canceled the event and accused the team of disrespecting the flag, despite reports that no Eagles players had participated in anthem protests.

Other Notable Attendees

Jason Kelce, a former Eagles center and older brother of Travis Kelce, will be in attendance with his wife, Kylie Kelce. A longtime Philadelphia fan favorite, Jason Kelce retired this offseason after 13 years in the league and has been vocal in his support for the Eagles.

Former First Lady Jill Biden, an avid Eagles fan, will also attend the game alongside her grandson, Hunter Biden. However, President Joe Biden is not expected to join them.

Several other celebrities have been spotted in New Orleans ahead of the game, including actor Bradley Cooper, rapper Cardi B, and NFL legends Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Joe Burrow, and Russell Wilson. Singer Ciara, NBA stars Jalen Rose and Andre Iguodala, and rapper Travis Scott are also in town for Super Bowl festivities.

Halftime and Pregame Entertainment

The Super Bowl halftime show will be headlined by Kendrick Lamar, who will be joined by frequent collaborator SZA. Jon Batiste is set to sing the national anthem, while Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will perform “America the Beautiful.” New Orleans native Ledisi will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” often referred to as the Black National Anthem. Additionally, Post Malone will headline the YouTube Tailgate Concert before the game.

Tension Between Swift and Trump

While Kelce expressed that it would be an “honor” to play in front of Trump, Swift has had a contentious relationship with the former president. She publicly endorsed Joe Biden in 2020 and recently expressed her support for Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump, in response, lashed out on Truth Social, declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Whether Swift will cross paths with Trump at the game remains uncertain, but her potential presence is already generating significant attention. As fans eagerly await kickoff, all eyes will be on the stands to see if Swift cheers on the Chiefs once again.
