Chicago Bears Hallmark Christmas Movie
The Chicago Bears are heading to the small screen this holiday season after announcing a new partnership with Hallmark Media for an original Christmas movie titled “Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story.”
The film, announced Thursday, marks the third installment in Hallmark’s growing “Holiday Touchdown” franchise, which combines professional football with romantic holiday storytelling. The project is being produced through a collaboration between Hallmark Media, the NFL, Skydance Sports, and NFL Films, and is scheduled to premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event later this year.
A Love Story Set in Chicago
Production is expected to begin this summer and will be filmed entirely in and around Chicago. According to the announcement, the movie will showcase iconic city landmarks, beloved local traditions, and the passionate fan base that has supported the Bears for generations.
While the storyline and cast have not yet been revealed, producers said casting announcements will be made at a later date.
The announcement was delivered in a promotional video featuring Bears head coach Ben Johnson alongside rookie tight end Colston Loveland, introducing fans to the newest addition to Hallmark’s holiday lineup.

Hallmark executives said the decision to feature the Bears followed the success of the franchise’s previous football-themed holiday movies.
Darren Abbott, President and Chief Brand Officer of Hallmark Media, said the Bears’ rich history and devoted fan base made the franchise a natural fit for another heartwarming football-inspired Christmas story.
Chicago Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren said the collaboration offers another opportunity to connect with fans beyond the football field while celebrating family, community, and the organization’s history.
Jessica Matthews, Senior Vice President of Film and Television at Skydance Sports, added that Chicago’s generational loyalty to the Bears makes the city an ideal setting for another installment in the growing movie series.

The movie continues the NFL’s expanding partnership with Hallmark, which has found success blending football culture with traditional holiday romance films.
By centering each movie around one of the league’s most recognizable franchises, Hallmark has created a unique crossover between sports fans and its loyal Christmas movie audience.
