Dolphins defense finally stepped up at the end of the game causing Herbert to get an intentional grounding penalty for 11 yard loss. The next play Herbert was sacked for a 8 yard loss, on 3rd down the Chargers would pick up 17 yards and now faced a 4th & 12. Dolphins linebacker Jalen Phillips and cornerback Justin Bethel came up big when they sacked Herbert, and ended any hopes of a comeback for the Chargers. Final score Miami 36 Los Angeles 34.
