Four Arrested in UK for Projecting Giant Images of Trump and Epstein Onto Windsor Castle

Four Arrested After Trump-Epstein Images Projected on Windsor Castle

WINDSOR, England — British police arrested four people on Tuesday after activists projected images of U.S. President Donald Trump alongside the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein onto Windsor Castle, just hours before Trump began his second state visit to the United Kingdom. According to Thames Valley Police, the suspects, men aged 36, 37, 50, and 60, were taken into custody on suspicion of malicious communications following the large-scale light projection on one of the castle’s historic towers.

Chief Superintendent Felicity Parker said in a statement:

“We take any unauthorized activity around Windsor Castle extremely seriously. A thorough investigation is underway, and further updates will be provided when available.”

Protest Context

The projection appeared shortly after Trump and First Lady Melania Trump landed at London’s Stansted Airport on Tuesday evening. Windsor, home to King Charles III and Queen Camilla, is central to the president’s state visit, which includes official ceremonies and meetings through September 19.

Activist groups in the UK, including those involved in past anti-Trump demonstrations, have used high-visibility stunts to draw attention to Trump’s past social ties with Epstein. Protesters also gathered outside Windsor Castle with banners and signs opposing the visit.

The Epstein Connection

Epstein’s name continues to shadow Trump, despite Trump’s public denials of any close relationship. Trump previously acknowledged knowing Epstein socially in the early 2000s but said the two had a falling out years before Epstein’s 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges. Calls for the release of the full “Epstein files” have intensified in recent months, with activists seizing on the controversy during Trump’s high-profile UK trip.

Security Measures

Police had already deployed firearms units and specialist search teams around Windsor in anticipation of potential protests. Authorities described the state visit’s security level as “high threat,” with extensive resources mobilized to prevent disruptions.

Diplomatic Backdrop

This marks Trump’s second official state visit to the UK, an unprecedented honor for a U.S. president. He is expected to attend a formal reception with King Charles III and Queen Camilla and hold talks with Prime Minister Keir Starmer on trade and security.

The projection incident underscores the polarized reaction to Trump’s presence in Britain, welcomed by political leaders in Westminster but met with public dissent on the streets of Windsor.
