Klangkarussell Releases New Album Petrichor and Tour Dates

Klangkarussell Returns with ‘Petrichor’ – A Powerful Comeback Album and 2025 U.S. Tour Dates, Including Miami

Austrian electronic duo Klangkarussell, known for their atmospheric soundscapes and genre-defining tropical house hits, have returned with their first full-length album in over a decade. Titled “Petrichor”, the 13-track LP was released today via their independent label Bias Beach Records, marking a major milestone in their artistic evolution.

Best known for their global breakthrough hit “Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine),” Klangkarussell’s influence has long extended beyond the dancefloor, shaping the intersection of organic instrumentation and cinematic electronic music. Now, with Petrichor, the duo delivers an emotionally rich, sonically diverse collection that blends club-ready grooves with intimate storytelling.

A Journey Through Sound and Emotion

We wanted this album to feel like a journey through our world – the highs, the struggles, the quiet moments, the big ones. ‘Petrichor’ is about renewal, about finding beauty in change, just like the smell of rain after a storm,” the duo shared in a recent statement.

The album’s title, Petrichor, refers to the earthy scent released when rain hits dry soil — a fitting metaphor for the duo’s return after years of silence on the album front. The project threads together themes of resilience, love, family, and personal discovery, all delivered through the lush production that has become Klangkarussell’s signature.

Key tracks include:

  • “Ride” – a shimmering throwback to 80s disco, reimagined through a modern, synth-heavy lens. Its official music video, directed by Edward John Drake, reunites the duo with the filmmaker behind their iconic “All Eyes On You” video from 2012.

  • “Truth Begins” – featuring Blazey, this track opens the album with hypnotic arpeggios and emotional depth. The accompanying video features Olympic gold medalist Anna Gasser, adding a powerful visual layer to the track’s introspection.

  • “Cross The Border” – a collaboration with Bloom Twins, reflecting on family separation during wartime in Ukraine.

  • “The Tide” – featuring Elmar, blends haunting vocals with flowing, melancholic production.

Collaborators across the album also include GIVVEN, Senes, Oliva, Redward Martin, Marieme, and more, showcasing the duo’s broad creative range.

A Return to the Live Stage

In addition to the album release, Klangkarussell is preparing to relaunch their live show format in 2026 after nearly a decade of DJ-only performances. Their last full live act was in 2015, making the upcoming tour a highly anticipated comeback.

As part of their 2025 tour, Klangkarussell will perform across key cities in North America, with upcoming shows in:

  • Los Angeles – Nov 14 & Dec 4

  • San Francisco – Nov 16

  • Seattle – Nov 21

  • New York City – Nov 22

  • Miami – Nov 23 (ZeyZey)

Miami fans will have a unique opportunity to catch the duo live at ZeyZey, an outdoor venue known for intimate yet high-energy performances. This stop is expected to draw a vibrant crowd of electronic music lovers eager to witness the duo’s evolved sound in person.

A Legacy That Keeps Growing

With more than 2 billion global streams and a loyal fanbase across both underground and mainstream audiences, Klangkarussell continues to push boundaries. Since launching Bias Beach Records in 2019, they’ve embraced creative independence while maintaining the emotive quality that defines their work.

Their discography includes hits like “Ghostkeeper,” “Time,” “Shipwreck,” and “Let Me Come To Life”, each reflecting their careful balance of cinematic storytelling and cutting-edge production.

Klangkarussell’s live resume is equally impressive, featuring performances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, CRSSD Festival, Rock am Ring, Baum Festival, and more. In 2024, they supported Kygo on a global tour, further expanding their reach and fanbase.
