Phoenix Suns Rally Past Miami Heat in Thrilling 115-112 Victory, Extending Winning Streak to Six

In a thrilling game on Wednesday night, the Phoenix Suns continued their hot streak with a resilient 115-112 win over the Miami Heat, marking their sixth consecutive victory. Kevin Durant led the charge, scoring 32 points, while Jusuf Nurkic dominated the paint with 20 points and 18 rebounds, helping the Suns rally from a 15-point third-quarter deficit.

The Suns found themselves trailing 79-64 midway through the third but clawed back with a 15-3 run to close the period, trimming the Heat’s lead to just three. The fourth quarter was tightly contested, with neither team able to pull away. However, Durant’s clutch jumper from the free-throw line with 16 seconds remaining gave Phoenix a critical four-point cushion, sealing the game.

Devin Booker was another standout for Phoenix, finishing with 22 points and nine assists. He hit one of two free throws with 4.8 seconds left, leaving Miami a narrow window to attempt a final shot. However, the Heat couldn’t get the ball off in time, allowing Phoenix to escape with the win. Grayson Allen added 12 points, and Tyus Jones matched Booker’s nine assists, adding depth to the Suns’ offensive efforts.

For Miami, Tyler Herro was the standout performer, scoring a team-high 28 points. Reserve forward Haywood Highsmith contributed 19 points, while Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo chipped in 15 and 12 points, respectively. Adebayo also grabbed 12 rebounds but struggled from the field, making only 5 of his 21 attempts, with three of his baskets coming from dunks.

One of the game’s defining moments came late in the fourth quarter, when Bradley Beal, despite being in foul trouble and held scoreless in the first half, sank a pivotal three-pointer to put Phoenix up 106-103 with 3:52 left. Though Beal finished with just seven points, his clutch shot helped shift momentum in Phoenix’s favor.

The Suns’ 7-1 record now ties the best start in franchise history, equaling the marks set in the 1980-81, 2000-01, and 2009-10 seasons. However, turnovers were an area for improvement, as the Suns committed 16, leading to 20 points for Miami.

Both teams will hit the road on Friday. Miami will head to Denver to take on the reigning champion Nuggets, while Phoenix will face a challenging matchup against the Dallas Mavericks.
