Do you like terrible movies? Do you laugh at absolutely anything that calls itself a comedy? Are any of your favorite movies: Joe Dirt, White Chicks, Grown Ups, Hubie Halloween, Balls of Fury, or Bad Grandpa? I could have added a bunch more to this list, but I don’t want to make myself sick.
I only mention all of this because I came across the trailer for this “gem” on YouTube. The movie is called Busboys, and it stars Theo Von and David Spade. It also has a surprising list of A-list comedians, including Tim Dillon, Bobby Lee, Trevor Wallace, and Jay Pharoah.

I have to say, I really like Theo Von. I don’t have too much of an opinion on Spade, as he plays the same cliched smart-ass characters in everything. But I don’t know if Theo Von is going to be funny if he stars in a poorly written, low-brow comedy. This will put it to the test. From what I have researched, this will be Theo’s first true “starring” role in a major Hollywood film.
The film is about two idiot buddies who aspire to be waiters. They have this thought that by becoming waiters, life will change and things will get much better for them. The problem is that they need to become busboys before they even have a chance at becoming waiters. And that is what they do. They become busboys.
I have to be totally honest, when I originally saw this trailer, I thought it was fake. I thought it was a fan-created trailer, which seems to be very popular nowadays on the internet. Fake trailers are everywhere, and many times, they are cool ideas and probably worth making. But this was real. This movie is real. And I actually couldn’t believe it.
Is Busboys worth watching? Check out the trailer and decide for yourself. Then, when you are sitting in the theater (and hopefully you are extremely stoned to endure this), after spending money on your tickets, ask yourself where things went wrong. I’m sure there is going to be one or two funny scenes. But I watched this trailer, and I didn’t see damn near one of them.
