A perfectly timed play by Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. sealed the outcome of the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl Games, as the NFC rallied for a 66-52 comeback victory over the AFC on Tuesday night in the league’s third edition of the flag football showcase.
With just under four minutes remaining and the AFC driving with a chance to tie the game, Winfield jumped a route from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, intercepting the pass and swinging momentum firmly back to the NFC. Moments later, the NFC delivered the final blow when Jalen Hurts connected with CeeDee Lamb for a touchdown with 24 seconds left, putting an exclamation point on the win.
The victory marked yet another Pro Bowl Games triumph for the NFC, which was powered by a rotating quarterback trio of Jared Goff, Hurts and Dak Prescott. Prescott played a central role in the comeback, throwing the go-ahead touchdown to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens with 6:21 remaining in the fourth quarter. The score capped a rally from a 16-point second-half deficit and ultimately earned Pickens Offensive MVP honors after he finished with three catches for 39 yards and a touchdown.
Winfield’s interception proved decisive, and the Buccaneers standout was named Defensive MVP for his game-changing play.
The night also featured one of the most memorable moments off the stat sheet. Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons, recovering from ACL surgery, rolled onto the field on a motorized scooter to celebrate Pickens’ touchdown alongside his NFC teammates and former Cowboys colleagues. Parsons later attempted to check in for a conversion — flags and all — before being waved off as the DJ blasted Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty,” drawing laughs from players and fans alike.
The game itself was anything but a casual stroll. The NFC sprinted to a 14-0 first-quarter lead, only to see the AFC respond with a stunning 32-0 run, highlighted by two safeties, to grab a 32-14 advantage midway through the second quarter. The teams then traded scores in rapid succession over the final five minutes of the half, keeping the contest tight heading into the break.
Several Pro Bowl first-timers made their mark as well. Denver Broncos offensive lineman Garett Bolles, appearing in the first Pro Bowl of his nine-year career, hauled in a memorable “big man” touchdown on a pass from Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, also making his Pro Bowl debut, added two touchdown passes to Bengals stars Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
In the end, it was defense — and one perfectly read route — that decided the night. Winfield’s interception underscored that even in a flag football Pro Bowl, timely stops still win games, as the NFC once again walked away with bragging rights in the Pro Bowl Games.
