This is a Classic UFC Title Fight Between the Former Champion Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson.

UFC 165

This fight was right in the middle of Jon “Bones” Jones’s reign as a UFC champion and before all the drama in his personal life. As you can tell by Nike and Gatorade on Jones’s shorts it was back when the UFC still let fighters have their own sponsors. Also, back when Jones was so clean that high-level sponsors like Nike would still put their names on his shorts. It was well before most of the major domestic scandals that have become the hallmark of Jon Jones’s recent career in MMA. It was also pretty much in the prime of Alexander Gustafsson’s MMA career as well just for reference. This is a great fight to watch if you want to see some of the few holes in Jon Jones’s game before his upcoming fight next weekend against Ciryl Gane. Gustafsson gives a heck of an effort in this fight and stings Jones with multiple shots before ultimately losing the fight by decision.
