Kim Kardashian Burglary Attempt
A 27 year old man was arrested Sunday after deputies responded to a reported burglary at a Hidden Hills property owned by Kim Kardashian, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies Respond to Reported Break In
Authorities were called to the property after a security guard reported that someone had entered the residence. Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect on suspicion of burglary. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not publicly identified the man.
According to reports, the suspect was allegedly seen loading items into a vehicle before deputies arrived. Investigators are working to determine exactly what was taken from the property and how the suspect gained access.
Kardashian Was Not Home
Kardashian was not at the residence when the incident occurred. She and her children have reportedly been staying at another property while the Hidden Hills home undergoes renovations. There were no reports of injuries connected to the incident. Authorities have also not indicated that Kardashian or her children were in immediate danger during the alleged break in.
Vehicle Reportedly Stolen
A law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times that the suspect allegedly took one of Kardashian’s vehicles from the property. The circumstances surrounding the vehicle theft remain part of the investigation. Officials have not released a complete list of items that may have been stolen or damaged during the incident.
Kardashian Has Experienced a Previous High Profile Robbery
The incident comes nearly a decade after Kardashian was the victim of a much more serious robbery in Paris. In October 2016, several armed men entered her hotel room while she was in France for Paris Fashion Week. She was held at gunpoint while the group stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry.
The Paris robbery had a major impact on Kardashian and changed how she approached sharing information about her location and personal life online. The current California investigation is separate, and authorities have not indicated that the two incidents are connected.
