Chick-fil-A Fall Menu
Chick-fil-A is giving customers a new reason to rethink breakfast, lunch and dinner with the nationwide debut of its Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches, a limited-time offering that combines the fast-food chain’s signature chicken with maple-flavored waffles, bacon, honey butter and syrup.
The new sandwiches officially arrive at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide on Monday, August 24, following a limited-time test in Baltimore and San Antonio late last year and early this year.
The launch is part of Chick-fil-A’s broader 2026 “Newstalgia” theme, which is built around putting modern spins on familiar flavors. The company is also celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, making nostalgia a central part of its food and marketing strategy.
So, What Exactly Is in the Chicken & Waffles Sandwich?
The sandwich features a Chick-fil-A chicken filet tucked between maple-flavored waffles. It is topped with three strips of applewood-smoked bacon and honey butter spread, with a side of classic syrup for dipping or drizzling.
Customers will have the option of choosing the chain’s original, spicy or grilled chicken filet. The menu is also designed to stretch beyond the traditional breakfast window, with a smaller breakfast version and a larger entrée version available throughout the day.
During breakfast hours, the smaller Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich will be available. Beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until closing, customers can order the larger entrée version.
The breakfast version contains 470 calories and 22 grams of protein, while the larger sandwich contains 620 calories and 32 grams of protein. Prices vary by location, with reported starting prices of $4.95 for the breakfast version and $7.59 for the entrée.
The Waffles Are Getting the Maple Treatment
Rather than simply placing conventional waffles around a chicken filet, Chick-fil-A is incorporating maple flavor directly into the waffles. That gives the sandwich a sweeter profile before customers even add the accompanying syrup.
The combination is designed around the classic sweet-and-savory appeal of chicken and waffles, but packaged in a format that fits the restaurant’s existing sandwich-focused menu.
The item was previously tested at select locations in Baltimore and San Antonio from December 1, 2025, through January 24, 2026. The test gave the company an opportunity to gauge customer interest before moving forward with a national launch.
Chick-fil-A Is Also Going All-In on S’mores
The Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches are not arriving alone.
Chick-fil-A is introducing two additional limited-time fall products: the S’mores Milkshake and S’mores Frosted Coffee.
The S’mores Milkshake combines the chain’s Icedream dessert with marshmallow-flavored syrup, chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles. It is topped with toasted marshmallow whipped cream, bringing several familiar campfire flavors into one dessert.
The S’mores Frosted Coffee uses a similar flavor combination while incorporating cold-brew coffee, creating a caffeinated version of the seasonal treat.
The three products are expected to remain available for a limited time, with the fall lineup running until the chain transitions toward its holiday offerings, while supplies last.
Why the Menu Is Already Generating Buzz
Chicken and waffles is hardly a new food combination, but Chick-fil-A’s decision to turn it into an all-day sandwich gives the Southern-inspired dish a very different fast-food footprint.
The announcement has already generated discussion among customers, particularly because the product had previously been limited to test markets. Some customers who tried it during testing have praised the combination, while others have questioned whether the sweet waffles, bacon, honey butter and syrup could become too sugary.
The bigger strategy is easy to spot. Chick-fil-A is leaning into foods that trigger familiarity while giving customers something new enough to justify another visit. Chicken and waffles provides the recognizable comfort-food angle, while the s’mores drinks tap into the same nostalgia from the dessert side.
That approach also fits a larger fast-food industry trend in which major chains increasingly use limited-time releases, throwback flavors and social-media-friendly combinations to create urgency and conversation around their menus.
For Chick-fil-A, the timing is particularly notable. The company is not simply adding another chicken sandwich. It is using its 80th anniversary to build an entire menu strategy around familiar flavors with new formats.
Starting August 24, customers will be able to decide whether Chick-fil-A’s version of chicken and waffles deserves a permanent place in the fast-food conversation.
For now, however, the company is keeping it limited-time.
