Collector ‘Ensito’ Shells Out Over $20,000 on Labubu Dolls, Donates to Community

Labubu Doll Collector

A TikTok collector known online as Ensito has spent more than $20,000 amassing one of the most complete private collections of Labubu dolls, the wildly popular collectibles produced by Chinese retailer Pop Mart. Ensito has completed full sets of Labubu Versions 1, 2, and 3, an achievement that can take years for typical collectors due to scarcity, blind-box odds, and fluctuating market prices. Among his most prized pieces is the Secret DuoDuo Have a Seat Labubu, a rare blind-box figure with only a 1-in-72 chance of being pulled. On resale platforms, this secret edition can fetch around $180 or more, and other rare figures from the series have sold for several hundred dollars each. Ensito has openly discussed how much he’s spent, noting that despite the investment, he frequently gives pieces away to members of his community and followers.

Labubu’s origins trace back to Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, whose whimsical monster characters were picked up by Pop Mart and transformed into global collectibles. Standard figures retail between $8.99 and $39.99, but the company’s blind-box sales model—where buyers cannot see which figure they’re purchasing—drives both repeat purchases and scarcity. As a result, certain rare “secret” editions become the focus of aggressive hunting and trading, with resale prices sometimes multiplying tenfold. Celebrity influence has amplified the frenzy, with stars like BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Rihanna, and Dua Lipa spotted with Labubu dolls, further fueling demand in global markets.

The hype around Labubu has also attracted a darker side of the market. Counterfeit versions, sometimes labeled as “Lafufu,” have flooded online platforms and pop-up markets, with some fakes testing positive for toxic materials. This has led to consumer alerts and customs seizures in the UK and other countries. Meanwhile, legitimate collectors continue to break records—one giant mint-green Labubu sold for $170,000 at auction, underlining the speculative value the toys have gained.

Ensito’s story stands out in this landscape not just because of the sheer financial commitment, but because of his generosity. In a market dominated by exclusivity, scarcity, and profit-driven reselling, his willingness to redistribute valuable figures to fans creates a rare sense of community. It’s a reminder that while the Labubu phenomenon has all the hallmarks of a high-stakes collectibles craze—scarcity, celebrity endorsement, and speculative trading—it can also foster personal connections and shared joy.
