The Miami Heat saved their best for last — and then some. Andrew Wiggins and Jaime Jaquez Jr. each poured in 28 points, and Miami exploded in the fourth quarter to pull away for a convincing 142-116 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night. The Heat turned a tight contest into a runaway by outscoring Indiana 44-22 over the final 12 minutes, finishing the game on a dominant surge after holding a narrow 98-94 lead entering the fourth.

Norman Powell added 23 points for Miami, which won for the second consecutive night and continued an offensive stretch unlike anything in franchise history. The Heat scored 83 points in the second half and reached the 140-point mark for the sixth time this season — and the seventh time in 2025 alone. By comparison, Miami scored at least 140 points just seven times total from 1988 through 2024.

Nikola Jovic played a pivotal role off the bench, scoring 19 points in 25 minutes. Miami outscored Indiana by a staggering 35 points during Jovic’s time on the floor, highlighting the Heat’s overwhelming depth. Overall, Miami dominated the bench battle 60-23, a decisive factor in breaking the game open.

Despite missing two of their cornerstones, the Heat showed no signs of slowing down. Tyler Herro (toe) and Bam Adebayo (back) both remained sidelined, though coach Erik Spoelstra said both are progressing. Herro has been limited to just six games this season and has missed nine of Miami’s last 10 contests, while Adebayo has missed the last two games as the team manages lingering issues that Spoelstra said were “turning into bigger things.”

Indiana welcomed back Aaron Nesmith, who returned after missing 19 games with a shoulder injury. Nesmith scored nine points in 19 minutes, but the Pacers were unable to keep pace once Miami shifted into another gear late.

The Heat’s offensive balance and relentless fourth-quarter push overwhelmed Indiana, turning what had been a competitive game into a lopsided finish.

Pacers visit the Houston Rockets on Monday. Heat host the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
