Hilary Swank, 52, Debuts Baby Bump

Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank has debuted her growing baby bump at 52, making her first public appearance since announcing that she is expecting her third child with husband Philip Schneider. Swank stepped out in New York City on Thursday, October 15, one day after sharing her pregnancy news on social media. The actress was photographed leaving a taping of The Drew Barrymore Show, showing off her baby bump in a casual outfit featuring a white top, a colorful cardigan, jeans and boots. The appearance comes as the actress prepares to welcome another addition to her family later this year.

Swank Announces Third Pregnancy

Swank, best known for her roles in Million Dollar Baby and Boys Don’t Cry, revealed her pregnancy on Wednesday, October 14, in a playful Instagram video featuring her husband and their two children. The family danced in the dark wearing glow-in-the-dark stick figure costumes. The video eventually revealed a tiny baby figure outlined on Swank’s stomach, making the pregnancy announcement both creative and personal. “A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December,” Swank wrote in the caption, hinting that the baby is expected to arrive in December 2026. The announcement quickly drew attention as fans celebrated the couple’s growing family.

A Growing Family

Swank and Schneider are already parents to twins, daughter Aya and son Ohm, who were born in April 2023. The actress was 48 when she welcomed her first children. The couple married in August 2018 and have generally kept their family life private while occasionally sharing personal moments with fans. Swank previously spoke about becoming a mother later in life, explaining that her acting career and personal journey shaped the timing of parenthood. In earlier interviews, she has expressed appreciation for being able to devote more time and attention to raising her children at this stage of her life.

Motherhood Later In Life

Swank’s pregnancy has also renewed public interest in pregnancy and parenthood after age 50. Pregnancy at this age is uncommon and can involve increased medical risks, including high blood pressure, gestational diabetes and other complications. Individual circumstances vary, and pregnancy outcomes depend on a range of medical factors. Swank has not publicly detailed the medical circumstances surrounding her current pregnancy. For now, the actress appears to be celebrating the next chapter of her family life as she prepares to welcome her third child. With twins already at home and a new baby expected in December, Swank and Schneider are preparing for a family of five.
