By now, the whole world has heard about Tiger Woods flipping over another vehicle while F’d up on pills. And yes, while there is no proof of this, please remember the following: he refused the blood test, he passed the urine test, he had a DUI before in which he was loaded with drugs in his system, and now reports show he had two hydrocodone pills on him this time.
So when you get into this many accidents, you are kinda considered a dangerous driver. This is where President Trump had to step in for the sake of his family. You may be asking, “What the hell does Tiger Woods have to do with Trump’s family”? And that would be a very fair question.
And while they are not family yet, this is the connection. Tiger Woods has been dating Vanessa Trump since early 2026. Vanessa is the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. So, it is not a blood relation. But the grandchildren are.
Vanessa Trump is a former model and socialite. She and Don Jr. were married for over a decade and have five children together. Since the divorce, she’s kept a relatively low profile, so her relationship with Tiger Woods is one of her more public ventures in the last few years.
Woods and Vanessa met in 2003 at a fashion show in New York, but golf was a big part of their social circles. Vanessa’s family had ties to the sports world, and Donald Jr. was an avid golfer. So, while it wasn’t strictly a golf introduction, it was definitely a shared sphere. One of the grandchildren is Kai Trump, and she is gaining much popularity online and in young people’s golf circles.
So that is the background, now the meat and potatoes. After this latest accident, it made sense for the media and just about everybody to question, “President Trump, do you actually let your grandchildren in a car with Tiger Woods?”
The answer was a resounding NO! Not only does President Donald Trump not allow them to be driven by Tiger Woods. But this was the case, even before the golf pro’s DUI arrest last week, according to reports.
And it ain’t just the “Golden Toad”. Members of the Trump family are “far from pleased” at the prospect of the grandchildren being in the car with “someone with Woods’ issues” after he crashed his Land Rover on Florida’s Jupiter Island Friday afternoon. Neither Vanessa nor any of Trump’s grandchildren were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
U.S. Secret Service agents are “certainly not letting Tiger Woods (even without the DUI) drive the kids. There would be “concern” had the grandchildren not gotten round-the-clock security.
Tiger clearly has his demons. This last incident is the latest in a string of high-profile crashes involving the golfer, and his second DUI arrest. In 2017, he was found passed out at the wheel and arrested for driving under the influence (also in Florida). He later pleaded guilty to reckless driving and avoided jail time. In 2021, he was seriously injured in a crash after driving at least twice the 45mph speed limit in California, police said.
