Brunson & Melvin’s Kids Hit the Runway

Jalen Brunson and Craig Melvin brought their families into the spotlight as their children took part in a special New York City fashion show. New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson hosted the Rookie Kids: Runway on Broadway event at Macy’s Herald Square on Sept. 17. The event brought together young models, celebrity families and major children’s fashion brands for a night celebrating kids and fashion. Brunson attended with his wife, Ali Brunson, and their 2 year old daughter, Jordyn. The toddler made her runway debut with both of her parents by her side.

Craig Melvin’s Kids Make Their Debut

Today co-anchor Craig Melvin and his wife, sports broadcaster Lindsay Czarniak, also had a big night as their two children walked the runway. Their son, Delano, 12, and daughter, Sybil, 9, both participated in the fashion show. The siblings appeared confident as they made their way down the runway, marking a new experience for the children. Their father also shared moments from the event, including their excitement about getting dressed up and being part of the show. Delano wore a Michael Jordan shirt with black pants and a red backpack, while Sybil sported a denim dress with a coordinating bag, sunglasses and Converse sneakers.

Brunson Gets In On The Fun

Brunson was not content to simply watch from the sidelines. The NBA star joined his wife and daughter on the runway, turning Jordyn’s first modeling experience into a family moment. The appearance added an unexpected crossover between basketball and fashion, with Brunson stepping away from the court and onto the catwalk alongside his young daughter.

A Star Studded Kids’ Event

The fashion show featured several celebrity parents and their children, including Knicks guard Josh Hart and his family, as well as Ice-T and Coco Austin with their daughter, Chanel. The event showcased children’s clothing from brands including Nike, Levi’s, Lacoste and Abercrombie Kids. For Brunson and Melvin, the night offered a chance to share the spotlight with their children while giving them an introduction to the world of fashion and the runway. For the kids, it was less about celebrity and more about having fun, getting dressed up and experiencing something completely different from their everyday lives.
