Julia Stiles Eliminated From Dancing With the Stars
Julia Stiles and professional dance partner Ezra Sosa have been eliminated from Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars following Disney Night on November 2, 2026. The actress finished in eighth place after competing against seven other celebrity couples for a chance to win the Mirrorball Trophy.
The elimination came after an evening of performances inspired by Disney films and Broadway musicals. Despite receiving positive feedback from the judges, Stiles and Sosa did not receive enough combined support from judges’ scores and viewer votes to remain in the competition.
Julia Stiles’ Final Performance
For her final performance, Stiles and Sosa performed a paso doble to “Satisfied” from the Broadway musical Hamilton. The routine earned the couple 33 out of 40 possible points from the judges. Their performance received praise for Stiles’ determination and emotional commitment.
Stiles was also reportedly dealing with rib pain from an earlier injury while preparing for the routine. Despite the physical challenges, she continued competing and delivered her final performance.
Stiles Reflects on Her Elimination
Following the announcement, Stiles expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete and reflected on how much the experience had changed her. The actress discussed discovering strengths and confidence she did not previously realize she possessed. She also credited Sosa for helping her navigate the demanding competition. Sosa similarly expressed appreciation for his partnership with Stiles, marking the end of their journey together on the ballroom floor.
Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Dewan Earn Perfect Scores
While Stiles and Sosa were eliminated, other couples delivered standout performances. Harry Shum Jr. and professional partner Jenna Johnson earned a perfect 40 out of 40 for their jazz routine to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins.
Jenna Dewan and partner Val Chmerkovskiy also received a perfect 40 for their quickstep to “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast. Both couples tied for the highest individual scores of the evening, making them two of the strongest competitors heading into the next round.
Disney Night Features Cynthia Erivo as Guest Judge
The November 2 episode featured actress and singer Cynthia Erivo as a special guest judge alongside regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. The evening also featured group performances inspired by Disney productions.
Team Slaytopia earned 36 out of 40 points for its freestyle to “Zoo” from Zootopia 2. Team Wildcats received a perfect 40 out of 40 for its performance to “We’re All in This Together” from High School Musical. The group scores were added to the couples’ individual performance totals before the elimination results were announced.
