A Milestone Celebration
NBCUniversal is marking the 25th season of Law & Order with a unique fan experience in New York City. The network is launching the Law & Order: Dun Dun Diner Fan Experience, a three-day pop-up diner at Rockefeller Center designed to immerse fans in the world of one of television’s most iconic procedural dramas.
Location and Dates
The diner will be staged at 1 Rockefeller Plaza and will run from October 3 to October 5, 2025. Hours vary by day, beginning with a Friday opening from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by extended hours on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Inside the Dun Dun Diner
The experience will recreate the feel of a classic diner while weaving in Law & Order themes throughout the space. Fans can expect décor that nods to police precincts, case files, and memorable characters from across the franchise. In partnership with Milk Bar and Dinner Service NY, the diner will serve signature treats alongside diner staples, creating a blend of nostalgia and novelty. Visitors can also explore interactive exhibits, uncover Easter eggs referencing the show’s history, and purchase exclusive “squad” merchandise tied to the series.
How to Reserve a Spot
Admission is free and open to the public, but reservations are required through Tock. Reservations will be released on September 19, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. PT, and spots are expected to go quickly given the franchise’s enduring popularity. Attendees will be limited to one complimentary food item and one merchandise item per person, per day, while supplies last.
Tied to Season Premieres
The timing of the Dun Dun Diner aligns with NBC’s programming strategy. The pop-up opens shortly after the premieres of Law & Order Season 25 and Law & Order: SVU Season 27, both debuting on September 25, 2025. By situating the event in Rockefeller Center, NBCUniversal is grounding the franchise back in its New York roots while celebrating the legacy of a series that has shaped the procedural drama genre for decades.
Why It Matters
This milestone not only reinforces Law & Order’s staying power but also highlights how experiential pop-ups can deepen fan engagement in an era of fragmented viewing. By combining food, nostalgia, and interactive experiences, NBCUniversal is ensuring that the “dun dun” sound effect resonates beyond the television screen and into the cultural fabric of New York City itself.
