“Bad Date Bandit” Busted in Miami: Woman Accused of Drugging, Robbing Multiple Men in High-End Heists

MIAMI, FL — A new wave of high-end “honey trap” thefts has emerged in South Florida’s nightlife scene, as recently released surveillance footage reveals the calculated movements of 23-year-old Rachel Warner, a Las Vegas native now facing multiple charges in connection with a string of drug-and-rob incidents in Miami.

The video, obtained by Local 10 News, captures Warner’s alleged scheme in action. According to Miami police, the suspect met her first known victim at the upscale Sugar rooftop bar at EAST Miami in Brickell in early April. The two left the bar together, appearing to enjoy the start of a romantic night.

But once inside the victim’s hotel room, Warner allegedly offered him a drink — one authorities believe was spiked with a sedative. The man reportedly passed out and awoke hours later to discover his $18,000 Rolex missing.

Miami Police Department spokesperson Officer Michael Vega stated:

“While they are in the room, she serves him a drink. Now, in this drink they put some drug. He falls asleep. Next thing you know, hours later he wakes up, and his Rolex is gone.”

Security footage shows Warner leaving the hotel room quickly, barefoot and appearing to flee the scene, clutching her high heels and entering an elevator.

The following morning, officers conducting surveillance in the area reportedly spotted Warner again this time allegedly engaging with a 61-year-old man, possibly targeting him in a similar fashion.

After the initial story aired in May, more victims came forward. One man told police that he, too, met Warner and brought her to his Midtown Miami apartment, only to wake up disoriented — missing over $60,000 in jewelry, watches, and cash.

When Warner was arrested by Miami police, she was found carrying an eyedropper containing an unknown liquid substance, which is now undergoing testing. Authorities suspect it may be the drug used in the alleged sedations.

Warner remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with no bond, facing a litany of felony charges including grand theft, use of a chemical substance to commit a felony, and multiple counts of robbery. Law enforcement officials believe more victims may still be out there.

The Miami Police Department is urging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward.

“These types of cases often go underreported out of embarrassment or shame,” Officer Vega added. “But it’s important to speak up. This is predatory behavior, and it must be stopped.”

With Miami’s reputation for nightlife glitz, officials warn that predatory tactics like these are not new — but they are evolving. As online dating and luxury hotspots intersect, it’s a reminder that sometimes, the most dangerous thing on a night out isn’t the drink — it’s who’s handing it to you.
