Stabbing at Fort Lauderdale Publix Under Investigation by Police

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A man is fighting for his life after a stabbing occurred Wednesday evening in the parking lot of a Publix supermarket in Fort Lauderdale, according to authorities.

The incident took place shortly after 8 p.m. in the 1900 block of Cordova Road. Fort Lauderdale Police responded to reports of a stabbing and found the male victim suffering from severe injuries in the parking area of the busy shopping center.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue quickly transported the victim to Broward Health Medical Center. Officials have described his injuries as life-threatening. As of Thursday morning, no updates on the victim’s condition had been made public.

Police have not released information regarding any suspects or persons of interest. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the violent attack.
