Miami Dancer Arrested in Orlando With Various Drugs and Weed Found in Her Child’s Backpack

Orlando Police Arrest Miami Woman After Traffic Stop Leads to Drugs Found in Child’s Backpack

An Orlando traffic stop in late August escalated into a serious criminal case after police say they discovered marijuana and prescription pills inside a child’s backpack, leading to multiple charges against a woman who told officers she was traveling from Miami. According to the Orlando Police Department, the incident occurred on August 26, 2025, when an officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a rental vehicle driving with high beams activated.

Traffic Stop Turns Into Search

During the stop, officers reported observing what appeared to be marijuana on the floorboard near the driver’s feet. Police say that observation provided probable cause to continue investigating the vehicle. As officers searched the car, they allegedly located a pill bottle containing assorted pills. Investigators state the woman was unable to provide a valid prescription for the medication. The situation escalated further when officers searched a backpack belonging to the woman’s child. Inside the backpack, police say they found a larger quantity of marijuana, raising immediate concerns about child endangerment.

Arrest and Charges

Following the discovery, the woman was taken into custody and transported to the Orange County Jail, where she was booked on multiple charges, including:

• Operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license
• Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription
• Possession of a controlled substance
• Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, stemming from the alleged storage of drugs in a child’s backpack

Police have not released the woman’s name or additional identifying details, and no information has been provided about the child’s age or whether the child was released to another guardian.

Legal Status

At this stage, the case remains pending. No disposition has been reached, and prosecutors have not announced whether additional charges may be filed. As with all criminal cases, the woman is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The Orlando Police Department has not commented further on the investigation beyond the initial arrest report.
