The latest announcement follows recent issues involving Bucky Dent Water Park. The facility reopened July 31 after being closed for seven years but was later temporarily shut down after the Florida Department of Health posted a notice concerning the facility’s operating permit.
City officials said the permit issue stemmed from an administrative oversight and that they were working with health officials to address it. The city also said a medical emergency involving an 80 year old guest at the park was unrelated to the facility’s operations or condition.
Reopening Date Has Not Been Announced
Officials have not announced when McDonald Pool, Milander Pool and Babcock Pool will reopen. The facilities are expected to remain closed while the city completes its review and determines whether additional action is necessary.
