FBI Most Wanted Fugitive May Be in Tampa
Tampa, FL – The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in locating one of its top ten most wanted fugitives, Donald Eugene Fields II, who is believed to be in the Tampa area.
Fields has been evading law enforcement since 2022. He was indicted in December 2022 on a charge of child sex trafficking. His co-defendant, Theodore “Ted” John Sartori Sr., was indicted on the same charge. Sartori pleaded not guilty in December 2022 and is currently awaiting trial.
The indictment alleges that Fields and Sartori attempted to recruit, entice, provide, patronize, and solicit a minor to engage in commercial sex acts from January 2013 to June 2017. During a December 2022 court hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Collins stated that Sartori provided cash, cars, motorcycles, vacations, and Christmas presents to Fields in exchange for access to the victim.
In addition to the federal charge, Fields is facing multiple charges in Franklin County Circuit Court, including statutory rape, statutory sodomy, child molestation, and witness tampering. A state warrant for his arrest was issued after he failed to appear for a court hearing on March 3, 2022, and subsequently vacated his home.
The FBI has provided a detailed description of Fields, noting that he has a tribal print tattoo on his right shoulder, a scar on his chest, groin, left calf, both legs, and both knees. Officials believe he may be relying on cash jobs such as tree-trimming and is known to frequent casinos. He was previously known to travel to Florida and may be hiding in the Tampa area. There is also a possibility that he could be in Central Missouri, close to his former residence in Franklin County.
Anyone with information on Fields’ whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI online at tips.fbi.gov or call 1-800-225-5325. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to his capture. A conviction is not required to claim the reward.
This appeal for public assistance underscores the seriousness of the charges against Fields and the FBI’s determination to bring him to justice.
