Pro Wrestler Brutally Attacked by Raja Jackson at Los Angeles Event, Victim ‘Fine and Recovering’

A shocking scene unfolded at a private pro wrestling event at KnokX Pro Academy in Los Angeles, where Stuart Smith — better known to fans as Syko Stu — was violently attacked by Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

According to footage and eyewitness reports, the altercation escalated after a misunderstanding during a live stream. Smith, acting in character, struck Jackson on the head with a beer can, seemingly believing he was initiating a storyline angle. It remains unclear whether the can was “gimmicked” — a common practice in pro wrestling where props are altered to minimize harm.

After initially being separated, Smith attempted to apologize. KnokX trainer Reno Anoa’i can be heard explaining on the stream, “He always think that we’re working over here, like it’s a part of the (expletive) storyline.” Eventually, Smith and Jackson appeared to reconcile, shaking hands multiple times as Anoa’i assured, “We’ll make something out of it.”

But later in the night, tensions erupted in horrifying fashion. Video shows Raja Jackson storming into the ring, body-slamming Smith, and unleashing a flurry of more than 20 punches while Smith lay defenseless on the mat. Other wrestlers rushed in to pull Jackson off, bringing the brutal attack to an end.

KnokX Pro Academy swiftly condemned the incident, calling Jackson’s actions “reprehensible” and describing the pummeling as “a selfish, irresponsible act of violence.”

Smith was treated following the attack and, according to TMZ, is “fine and recovering” as of Saturday night. The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed it is reviewing the incident.

Jackson has not commented publicly, but his father, MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, issued a strong statement of condemnation.

“I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact,” Rampage said. “As a father, I’m deeply concerned with his health AND the well-being of Mr. Smith. That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery. I apologize on his behalf and to KnokX for the situation.”

The incident, which began with what appeared to be a misunderstanding over whether Jackson was part of a storyline, quickly spiraled into real violence, shocking fans and the wrestling community alike.

As Smith recovers, the LAPD investigation and KnokX Pro’s handling of the fallout will determine what consequences, if any, Raja Jackson will face for the backstage and in-ring assault.
