Florida State responded with a 3 play drive that went -7 yards and resulted in a punt. The back-and-forth nature of the first quarter hinted at the intensity that would unfold in the subsequent quarters. As the first quarter came to an end, the Gators offense went 13 plays 70-yards with the drive ending with Montrell Johnson Jr. running for a five yard touchdown run. Florida 7 Florida State 0. As the second quarter progressed, it became evident that the Gators defense was a force to be reckoned with. They managed to disrupt the Seminoles offensive rhythm, causing turnovers and putting immense pressure on their quarterback resulting in a second quarter safety. The crowd at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium erupted on the play, creating an intimidating environment for the visiting Seminoles. After the safety Florida was up 12-0 with five minutes to go in the second quarter.

Defense

Despite the defensive prowess displayed by the Gators in the first half, the Seminoles managed to keep the score close, showcasing their resilience and determination. Late in the second quarter Seminoles finally get a touchdown when they go 10 plays 90-yards for a touchdown. The drive ended with Trey Benson running for a 1-yard touchdown. With neither side willing to back down, it was a true display of the competitive spirit. Florida 12 Florida State 7 at halftime.

Second Half

The third quarter started with Florida State going plays yards ending with Trey Benson running for a 36-yards scoring a touchdown. Florida 12 Florida State 14. Florida answered back with a drive of there own going 11 plays 56-yards ending with Gators kicker Trey Smack making a 37-yard field goal. Florida 15 Florida State 14. 12 plays 55-yards later Florida State’s kicker Ryan Fitzgerald made a 19-yard field goal with seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter Florida 15 Florida State 17.

Turning Point

Came late in the fourth quarter when Seminoles defender Patrick Payton had two sacks to stop the Gators drive and forced a punt. The Seminoles, fueled by the deafening Gator crowd, mounted a decisive offensive drive. Quarterback Tate Rodemaker orchestrated a series of precise passes, and big plays from running back Trey Benson, driving them down the field. The Gators defense, fatigued from the relentless pressure, struggled to contain the Seminoles momentum. With three minutes left on the clock, the Seminoles found themselves within striking distance of the end zone. The tension in the Stadium was palpable as fans held their breath, waiting to see if the Seminoles could seal the victory. In a defining moment, Seminoles running back Trey Benson broke through the Gators defense and charged into the end zone running for a 26-yard touchdown Florida 15 Florida State 24.

Final Play
