Texas A&M Beats Florida State 95–59 Behind Dominguez’s Seven Threes at Benchmark International Arena

Texas A&M continued its blistering offensive surge on Friday night, overwhelming Florida State 95–59 at Benchmark International Arena behind a barrage of threes, dominant rebounding, and a wire-to-wire performance that never left the outcome in doubt.

Ruben Dominguez lit up the Seminoles for 21 points, all coming from his seven made 3-pointers, while Rashaun Agee delivered one of the best all-around performances of his career. Agee finished with 17 points and matched a career high with 17 rebounds, anchoring a physical and energetic Aggies frontcourt presence that Florida State had no answer for.

Pop Isaacs added 15 points and Mackenzie Mgbako chipped in 10 as the Aggies (6–2) extended their win streak to four games — a stretch during which they’ve averaged an eye-popping 102.5 points per contest.

Texas A&M wasted no time seizing control. The Aggies opened the game on a 19–3 run, silencing the Seminoles early and showcasing sharp ball movement and hot perimeter shooting. By halftime, A&M led 52–24 behind the combined efforts of Dominguez and Agee. Dominguez poured in 15 first-half points while Agee posted 10, helping the Aggies hit 46% of their shots (17 of 37), including nine 3-pointers before the break.

Defensively, Texas A&M stifled the Seminoles at every turn. Florida State shot just 26% (9 of 35) in the first half and never found the rhythm needed to mount any sort of charge.

Kobe MaGee was the lone bright spot for Florida State (5–2), knocking down four 3-pointers and finishing with 21 points. But the rest of the Seminoles struggled mightily, combining for just 38 points on a night where nothing came easy.

Florida State finished 21 of 73 (29%) from the floor and committed 16 turnovers — mistakes that continually fed Texas A&M’s momentum and gave the Aggies numerous transition opportunities.

The lopsided defeat narrows the historical series edge to 3–2 in Florida State’s favor. Texas A&M’s last win over the Seminoles came all the way back in 1956 in Tallahassee. Their most recent meeting prior to Friday was in the 2011 NCAA Tournament’s first round in Chicago, where Florida State prevailed 57–50.

Both teams now shift focus to the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday: Florida State returns home to host Georgia, looking to bounce back quickly after its toughest outing of the season. Texas A&M will travel to Pittsburgh, aiming to stay hot and extend its high-powered offensive stretch.

With the Aggies firing on all cylinders and Florida State eager to regroup, both matchups should offer early-season insight into how these squads stack up against their conference counterparts.
