Syracuse and Miami would trade layups making it 66-66 with two minutes left. Syracuse’s J.J. Starling would make a three pointer, them Miami’s George would answer back with a three pointer of his own with 1:17 left to go. Miami 69 Syracuse 69. Both teams would miss jump shots sitting it up for one last shining moment. With seconds left on the clock and the score tied at 69-69, Syracuse had one last chance to secure the win. Syracuse’s Judah Mintz moved the ball swiftly across the court, weaving through Miami’s defense. In a breathtaking moment Mintz passed the ball out of a double team, with Quadir Copeland launching a shot from beyond the arc just as the buzzer sounded. The dome held its collective breath as the ball sailed through the air. Time seemed to stand still as the fate of the game rested on the trajectory of that final shot. In a dramatic turn of events, the ball swished through the net as the buzzer sounded, clinching victory for Syracuse.
