McDonald’s New Refreshers Lineup
McDonald’s is expanding its beverage menu with a new lineup of specialty drinks, including a new collaboration with Red Bull. The fast food chain says the new offerings are designed to give customers more options beyond traditional sodas and coffee, with several fruit-forward and customizable beverages arriving at participating restaurants.
Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer
One of the biggest additions is the Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer. The drink combines Red Bull with blue raspberry syrup, ice and freeze-dried dragon fruit pieces, creating a sweet and fruity take on the traditional energy drink.
The beverage was first introduced in Australia earlier this year before being tested at select McDonald’s locations in the United States. Following those tests, McDonald’s is expanding the drink to participating restaurants nationwide beginning Aug. 17.
Red Bull Zero Also Joins the Menu
McDonald’s is also adding Red Bull Zero to its beverage lineup. The sugar-free energy drink gives customers another option for getting caffeine without the sugar found in traditional Red Bull.
The Red Bull additions come as energy drinks and specialty beverages continue to attract consumers looking for alternatives to traditional soft drinks. McDonald’s move also gives the company another way to compete in the increasingly crowded specialty beverage market.
More New Drinks Are Coming
The new beverage lineup is not limited to Red Bull. McDonald’s is also introducing a Diet Coke Vanilla Swirl topped with cold foam and an Orange Dream made with Fanta.
The new offerings build on McDonald’s recent focus on refreshers and crafted beverages. The company has increasingly expanded beyond its traditional fountain drinks as customers show greater interest in drinks featuring different flavors, textures and combinations.
When Customers Can Try Them
The new drinks are expected to begin arriving at participating McDonald’s restaurants on Aug. 17. Availability may vary by location, meaning some restaurants may not offer every beverage immediately.
The expansion reflects McDonald’s broader effort to make its beverage menu a destination of its own. With refreshers, specialty sodas, cold foam drinks and Red Bull options, the company is giving customers more choices when they stop in for a drink.
