Saks Global, the parent company of Neiman Marcus, confirmed that the historic downtown Dallas flagship store will permanently close on September 30, 2026.

Neiman Marcus was founded in Dallas in 1907 by Herbert Marcus, Carrie Marcus Neiman, and Abraham Lincoln Neiman. The downtown flagship building at Main and Ervay streets has stood as a centerpiece of Dallas retail since 1914 after the original store was destroyed by fire.
Over the decades, the store became synonymous with luxury fashion, holiday traditions, bridal services, and the famed Zodiac Room restaurant. The location is also the last remaining original department store operating in downtown Dallas, making its closure particularly significant for the city’s historic core.
