Serial Peeping Tom Caught in Country Walk Community of Miami

Man Arrested for Multiple Incidents of Peeping and Exposure in Miami-Dade County

MIAMI-DADE – A man was arrested on Thursday after a series of disturbing incidents in which he allegedly peeped into homes, exposed himself, and engaged in lewd behavior. The suspect, identified as Setien-Martinez, was taken into custody following multiple reports from residents in the area.

The first reported incident occurred on September 29, when a woman spotted Setien-Martinez standing on a roof and peering into her window, according to police. The woman immediately contacted authorities, but no arrests were made at that time. Days later, on October 8, Setien-Martinez was reported once again lurking near a window, this time exposing himself as a woman was getting dressed.

In another chilling event on October 22, Setien-Martinez allegedly returned to the same home from the September 29 incident. This time, he was seen standing on the roof, knocking on the window to get the woman’s attention. Police reports state that he left “an unknown bodily fluid on the window” before fleeing the scene. When officers responded to the location, they observed Setien-Martinez walking nearby, but he evaded capture by running from the scene.

Further investigation revealed additional incidents involving Setien-Martinez. The resident reported that there were at least five other instances where he was seen looking into the windows of her daughters, aged 16 and 10.

On November 8, Setien-Martinez was again spotted on surveillance footage kneeling in bushes and peeking into the backyards of homes. His distinctive tattoos were visible on the video, aiding in his identification. On Thursday, detectives observed him in a similar position, kneeling in bushes and looking through a home’s fence. Upon their arrival, Setien-Martinez was arrested without further incident.

According to police, Setien-Martinez confessed to entering multiple fenced backyards, staring at the victims through their windows, and exposing and pleasuring himself in the process.

Setien-Martinez was booked into jail and is facing several charges related to lewd and lascivious behavior, trespassing, and exposure. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. As of now, there is no available attorney information.

The case highlights the disturbing trend of voyeurism in residential areas and has raised concerns among local residents about safety and privacy. The Miami-Dade Police Department urges anyone with further information about Setien-Martinez or similar incidents to come forward.
