Snoop Dog Raising Canes
“Happy National Chicken Finger Day to all — and to all a good bite,” declared hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg, as he stunned fans by working the drive-thru at a Raising Cane’s restaurant, blending music, marketing, and fried chicken into one viral moment.
The Rap Legend, Now at the Window
This week, customers at Raising Cane’s in Henderson, Nevada were met with an unexpected sight: Snoop Dogg, dressed in full Cane’s gear, personally taking orders and handing out food from the drive-thru window. The stunt was part of Raising Cane’s annual campaign for National Chicken Finger Day, celebrated nationwide on Sunday, July 28.
The appearance wasn’t just for show. Snoop handed out meals, posed for photos, and interacted directly with surprised customers, continuing a years-long partnership with the Louisiana-based chicken finger chain.
Snoop x Cane’s: A Partnership Years in the Making
Snoop Dogg and Raising Cane’s have a history. In 2021, the rap icon surprised guests at a Fayetteville, Arkansas location during the chain’s “Drive‑Thru Comedy Series” to promote his album Algorithm. At the time, Snoop said: “Raising Cane’s partnered up for the release of my new album, Algorithm… I decided to pop into a restaurant and see all the push and promotion behind my project.” That appearance also featured Snoop taking over the drive-thru and ordering employees to take a break while he served guests himself. Todd Graves, CEO and founder of Raising Cane’s, welcomed the collaboration: “Snoop is a huge Caniac and a good friend, so it’s always fun to work together,” Graves said in a company statement.
Chicken Fingers, Cadillac Sleighs, and Viral Branding
This year’s campaign leaned heavily on humor and holiday-style pageantry. According to Raising Cane’s official July 2025 press release: “Snoop is stepping in to help make sure fans don’t miss a beat, rolling up in a Cadillac sleigh… to help deliver Chicken Fingers.” In addition to the drive-thru surprise, the chain offered one free chicken finger with every Box Combo purchase on July 27—no app or registration required. It’s one of the most accessible promotions Cane’s has ever offered and aims to bring even more foot traffic to its already packed locations. Snoop, in his signature laid-back style, wrapped the campaign message with: “Happy National Chicken Finger Day to all — and to all a good bite.”
Viral Marketing with Bite
The surprise appearance immediately blew up on social media, with fans sharing selfies, videos, and TikToks showing Snoop at the register. The event marks a successful blend of music marketing and brand activation—something Snoop Dogg has mastered in recent years with ventures spanning wine, cereal, cannabis, tech, and even pet gear.
Raising Cane’s has increasingly relied on celebrity partnerships to elevate its national profile, working with stars like Post Malone and Shaquille O’Neal in previous campaigns. But Snoop’s personal appearances remain among the most iconic—and culturally resonant.
