Brigadier Gen. Mark Kimmitt Breaks Down the Ukrainian Counter-Offensive

In this role, he worked closely with General Tommy Franks, the Commander of CENTCOM, and played a vital part in coordinating and executing military operations in Iraq.

Kimmitt was known for his regular press briefings and appearances, where he provided updates on military operations and engaged with the media. His role as the primary military spokesperson in Iraq made him a familiar face to the public and the international community during that time.

After his service in Iraq, Kimmitt held various senior positions within the U.S. Army. He served as the Director for Plans and Policy for CENTCOM, overseeing the development and implementation of military plans and policies in the region. He also served as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans at the Pentagon.

In addition to his military career, Kimmitt has been involved in academia and international affairs. He has served as a professor at the National Defense University, where he taught courses on national security strategy and military operations. He has also provided commentary and analysis on military and international affairs as a media contributor.
