Alisa Petrov’s Disappearance: Two Men Charged in Connection with Utah Teen’s Case

Authorities in Utah have intensified their investigation into the disappearance of 15-year-old Alisa Petrov, who has been missing since April 21. The South Jordan Police Department, in collaboration with the Texas City Police Department, is now focusing on two men Matthew Menard and William Glines who are facing multiple charges related to sexual exploitation and online solicitation of a minor.

Disappearance Details

Petrov was last seen leaving her school in American Fork, Utah, and was later spotted at a gas station before boarding a train in Provo. She reportedly asked fellow passengers for assistance in reaching Las Vegas, leading investigators to believe she was attempting to meet individuals she had communicated with online. The South Jordan Police Department considers her to be endangered and is treating her case as a high priority.

Connection to Menard and Glines

Investigators discovered that Petrov had been in contact with both Menard and Glines through various online platforms. Menard allegedly sent explicit messages to Petrov and planned to meet her in Las Vegas before taking her to Miami. Glines is also believed to have engaged in inappropriate communications with the teen. Both men are now facing charges related to sexual exploitation and online solicitation of a minor.

Law Enforcement Efforts

In response to the case, law enforcement agencies have expanded their search efforts beyond Utah. The Texas City Police Department has joined the investigation, following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that identified a man in Texas who had communicated with Petrov before her disappearance.
