Former ‘Beauty and the Geek’ Star Arrested After Allegedly Beheading Boyfriend in Grisly South Australia Murder
PORT LINCOLN, SOUTH AUSTRALIA — Tamika Sueann-Rose Chesser, 34, a former contestant on Beauty and the Geek Australia, has been charged with the brutal murder and decapitation of her boyfriend, 39-year-old Julian Story. Authorities say Chesser killed and dismembered Story in their Port Lincoln apartment, then attempted to burn his remains in an apparent effort to conceal the crime.
The Crime
Emergency services were called to the couple’s residence on June 19 after neighbors reported smoke. Firefighters entered the property and discovered Story’s torso in the bathroom—severely burned and missing its head. Chesser was found in the backyard, reportedly unresponsive and in a dissociative state.
Investigators believe the murder occurred around midnight on June 17. Chesser allegedly killed Story, decapitated and dismembered him, and then set fire to parts of his body. The victim’s head remains missing as of this report, and South Australian police have suspended physical searches pending further leads.
Ongoing Investigation
Police continue to pursue CCTV footage, witness statements, and forensic evidence in their efforts to locate the missing head and piece together the events surrounding the murder. Multiple sightings of a woman matching Chesser’s description walking dogs while carrying a bag in the days after the suspected murder are being reviewed as part of the investigation.
Authorities have also charged Chesser with assaulting an emergency worker, allegedly biting a police officer following her arrest.
Legal Status and Mental Health
Chesser is being held under South Australia’s Mental Health Act at James Nash House, a forensic psychiatric facility. She has been denied bail. A committal hearing on the murder charge is scheduled for December 2025. The assault charge is set to be heard on July 31.
Public Shock and Reaction
The case has horrified the local Port Lincoln community and drawn attention across Australia, particularly due to Chesser’s reality TV background. She previously appeared on Beauty and the Geek Australia and worked as a glamour model and online content creator.
Family and friends of Julian Story have described him as a kind, well-loved man. They’ve called for privacy and thanked law enforcement for their efforts, while urging the public to come forward with any information that might help locate his missing remains.
