The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, seems to be on a roll lately…

His blue markers are going to run out of ink soon if he keeps signing all of these “bills” into law here.  Now, some of his ideas are actually good and can benefit the sunshine state.  Ticketing drivers with loud music in their cars is a good idea because not everyone wants to hear what you are listening to.  On the other hand, though, some of these new laws are beyond ridiculous and are a waste of time to enforce.  Hell, they aren’t even worth the paper they are printed on, or the blue marker used to put his signature on.  Unfortunately for us, what he says goes unless we get a judge on our side who actually sees the violations set forth in the laws Governor Ron DeSantis is coming up with.  Let’s go through a few of the controversies Governor DeSantis has started while he is still in office here in Florida.

Let’s start with the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.  This is one of the most controversial bills that I have ever heard of.  This bill was signed back in April 2022 and went into effect on July 1, 2022.  This bill says kids in kindergarten through third grade cannot learn about sexual identity at all or that is not age-appropriate for them.  If this bill is just going into effect now, it makes you wonder what the Florida Board of Education has been teaching our children in the past.  The policy for sexual education in Florida can be found here.  In 2021, sexual education was not mandated to be taught in the state of Florida.  Parents had the option to not have their kids learn about the topics that were going to be taught.  While every parent has that right, they must know that they have the responsibility to teach their children about it then when they think it is necessary.  As a parent, I do not want my children to learn about sexual education, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, or anything else that links to reproductive health or relationships from someone who has no idea what they are talking about.  If you take away the education, where do you think children of any age are going to learn things from?  There is always at least one idiot that will spew inaccurate information and there will be millions that will believe him or her.  Do not let your children learn from the idiots of the world.  Let them be taught by professionals who know what they are talking about.  Let them learn the truth.  Do not let a politician force his beliefs onto you and your children.  Opt-in to educate your children the proper way.  Kids have the right to learn as much as they can from their educators.  With this new law, teachers are now forced to remove family photos from their classrooms if they are in same-sex relationships.  With this new law, teachers can no longer talk about their same-sex relationship with their spouse to students that may ask.  Teachers use to be safe people for kids to talk to especially when those kids have no one that they trust to open up to.  Many parents do not understand or approve of their children being “different” from the “norm” they are used to and grew up around.  Times have changed.  Time is supposed to move forward but with this bill and the many more Governor Ron DeSantis signed into effect, we are going backward and it is not for the better.  During a press conference ahead of signing the law, DeSantis said teaching kindergarten-aged kids that “they can be whatever they want to be” was “inappropriate” for children.  He said, “It’s not something that’s appropriate for any place, but especially not in Florida.”  It seems that everyone in Florida has to have the same beliefs as the Governor or there will be consequences.  Just ask Walt Disney!  If you are a parent of Florida children and you feel you are being discriminated against due to this bill, our President, Joe Biden, has encouraged parents to file lawsuits against the government and the state of Florida.  I can’t wait to see the outcome of that suggestion!  How much money will the state have to lose before this bill is no longer law?  Let’s wait and see!

His “Stop W.O.K.E.” bill is another controversial law that he came up with.  Florida House Bill number 7 is Governor DeSantis’s attempt at rewriting history.  This bill, which went into effect on July 1, 2022, is there so people do not feel uncomfortable about Critical Race Theory.  The bill says that no one is racist just based on their skin color, no one race is superior to others, no one is privileged based on their skin color, members of one race should not disrespect people of another race, no one should be discriminated against based on the actions of people in the past, no one should feel guilty of the actions of someone in the past committed and that everyone should be treated equally and fairly.  It makes you wonder if Governor DeSantis really paid any attention to his history class and social studies class when he was in school.  White people were considered privileged, didn’t like anyone that didn’t look like them, owned slaves treated them extremely unfairly, and then tried to pass these “morals” onto their children and their children’s children.  There are still people living on this Earth that still hold onto those “morals” and practice them diligently.  Example? The Karens and Kyles of the world who call the police on black kids selling lemonade on their own lawn or selling bottled water for a buck to raise money for a game he wanted.  Racism is taught!  If you want it to stop, the privileged people of the world need to realize that we all bleed red!  We all look the same under our skin.  People understand that we are not responsible for what happened in the past, but we are responsible for the actions that we commit daily of our own free will.  We can’t change the past, but here’s to hoping that it won’t be repeated!

Another controversial bill that is in the process of becoming law is the ban on abortions after 15 weeks of gestation.  Governor DeSantis thinks that women should not have a choice in what happens to their own bodies.  Roe v. Wade has since been overturned and it has caused an uproar.  Women have had the right to choose if they want to have an abortion since 1973.  The government and the many politicians of the world should have no right to tell a woman what she can or can’t do to her own body, hence the favorable ruling of Roe v. Wade back in 1973.  Fast forward to 2022 and the government that is full of men, is telling women that they can no longer have the right to choose to have an unwanted baby.  We all know that accidents happen to everyone.  The most careful person in the world can still trip and fall!  The new law that Governor DeSantis wants is that no woman can have an abortion after 15 weeks of gestation.  There are no exceptions to this law unless two doctors determine there is something fatally wrong with the fetus or that it could kill the mother.  If the woman got pregnant because she was raped and didn’t know she was pregnant until she was 20 weeks along, she must have the baby.  She will have to go through the hormonal changes associated with pregnancy.  She will have to go through the pain associated with childbirth.  She will be forced to bring life into this world that was forced into her by a man that gave her no choice.  How can our government force women to give birth?  Yes, I know people think that children are a gift from God, but please tell that to the women that are brutally raped by men they know or by some strangers they do not know and a life is started in HER womb.  The woman must live with that every day of her life.  Creating a life is supposed to be between a man and a woman with love between them.  In rape and even incest, there is either no love or one-sided love.  Men, politicians, and the government as a whole have no right to tell a woman about her reproductive rights.  The world is overpopulated already as it is.  How are we going to survive on this Earth?

Another issue at hand with Governor Ronald Dion DeSantis is the protection of the Supreme Court Justices on their property from protestors.  The Supreme Court Justices are taking away our rights, approving bills as laws that limit our freedoms, and expect us to just sit and agree with everything they do.  We, as a state, cannot let them take away our freedom.  We have the First Amendment to protect our right to freedom of speech.  We can assemble peacefully on public property as long as we do not obstruct the flow of traffic or go onto private property.  Supreme Court Justices do not own the sidewalks outside of their homes!  The people of the United States of America have the rights stated in the Constitution.  The First Amendment gives us the right to freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.  As long as we are peaceful, we can assemble anywhere on public land to get our voices heard.  Why should a Supreme Court Justices house be considered off-limits when they are the ones that are causing the chaos?  You have the right to protest peacefully.  Just remember to stay off private property, get a permit if you need one to have a march, and do not stop the flow of traffic.  People in Florida tend to have road rage and plow through crowds of people with no respect for human life.  Please be careful but get your point across!

Governor Ron DeSantis is trying to force his views onto everyone that lives in the sunshine state of Florida.  He believes that church and state should not be separate anymore.  He does not believe in women having the right to choose what happens to their own bodies.  He does not believe that citizens can peacefully protest anywhere on public property in the state to get their point across against what he believes in.  He does not believe that our children of any age should learn about different sexual preferences.  He does not believe in birth control is available for all women.  He does, however, think that he can control everyone and force us all to follow his lead.  He has proven himself, many times over, that there will be consequences for your actions if you do not believe in the same things that he does.  Walt Disney stopped donating to him because they do not agree with his “Don’t Say Gay” bill and he dissolved all of their tax benefits and privileges that they have had for fifty years now.  He did not even consider all of the repercussions of his actions when he did that.  He is a very impulsive man who needs to be stopped already.  He is acting like a puppet at the hands of the puppet master.  If you value your freedoms, do not vote for Governor Ron DeSantis in anything that he runs for, whether it be Governor again or God forbid, President of the United States of America!  Our state and our country cannot survive with him being in power anymore.  We are losing our individualism by having him in power.  Time is not progressing forward anymore here in the sunshine state of Florida.  Governor DeSantis is trying to make it to where women stay home and take care of the housework and children only.  It seems like his favorite word is regression.  Governor DeSantis needs to be the governor for all of Florida and not just for himself and his followers.  He was elected, somehow, for the entire state and he needs to take all of our wants, needs, and desires into consideration for a better Florida for all of us.  Republicans are not superior.  They could benefit from a lesson in the “Stop W.O.K.E.” bill.  No one is superior based on their views!  God, please help us.  Since Governor DeSantis wants church and state together again, come down here and set everybody straight again.  We need all of the help we can get.
