Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder in Kissimmee Following Violent Home Invasion
Kissimmee, Fla. – A woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man during a violent home invasion over a dispute involving a tip.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Riviera Motel on 2248 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. Deputies arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
According to authorities, the altercation began earlier that evening when the victim ordered pizza from a local restaurant. The delivery driver, identified as 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, reportedly became upset over the tip she received from the victim.
Later that night, Alvelo returned to the victim’s motel room accompanied by an unidentified male suspect who was armed with a firearm. Investigators say the pair forced their way into the room, where Alvelo, armed with a knife, attacked the victim.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in stable condition.
Detectives quickly launched an investigation, obtaining an arrest warrant for Alvelo on charges of home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. She was taken into custody the following day, on December 23, and is being held at the Osceola County Jail without bond.
