Gunman at Large Following Fatal Shooting in Lauderhill
LAUDERHILL, FL – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday night outside the Cypress Grove Apartments, leaving a man dead and the community on edge.
The incident happened on December 28th at approximately 8:50 p.m. in the 2900 block of Northwest 19th Street. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire and found the victim lying in the street, his body covered with a blue tarp.
Victim Shot Multiple Times
Police confirmed that the man, whose identity has not yet been released, was shot multiple times. His body remained at the scene for hours as detectives processed evidence and documented the crime scene. The body was removed around 5 a.m. on Sunday.
Investigation Ongoing
Lauderhill Police blocked off the area for an extensive investigation, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. However, the reason for the shooting remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified.
“The shooter or shooters are still on the loose,” a police spokesperson said. “We are working diligently to uncover the circumstances of this tragic event.”

The incident has left residents of the Cypress Grove Apartments shaken. Several neighbors expressed concerns about safety, describing the area as prone to sporadic violence.
