Hello, fighter jet fans and aficionados!
Top Gun and Tom Cruise are back with Top Gun 2 “Maverick” set to come out this Summer on May 24th.
More than a cool story with great lines like “I’m too close for missiles, I’m switching to guns.” Top Gun had it all! Love, romance, comedy, heartbreak, overcoming fear and adversity… It’s really one of the absolute best Tom Cruise movies if you ask me, and that’s saying something. Cause the guy has actually made a ton of great movies if you stop and think about it. Risky Business, The Color of Money, Rain Man, Days of Thunder, The Last Samurai, War of the Worlds, Mission Impossible, Eyes Wide Shut, and Vanilla Sky to name a few.
What sets this Top Gun apart from the first one is the technology they used to shoot the film. They put multiple IMax quality video cameras in the planes with the fighter jet pilots and actors. They basically shot this movie up in the air while flying real planes, it’s never been done before. So whether you are a Top Gun fan, an aviation fan, or a Tom Cruise fan, chances are that you are going to love this movie. It will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic experience, like nothing you have ever seen in theaters before, so make sure you don’t miss the chance to see it on the big screen.
After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top fighter jet pilots, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging any advancements in rank that would take him out of active flight status. Unfortunately, the nation would call on Maverick again. This time to train a group of elite Top Gun pilots for a deadly mission never before attempted that few pilots would be likely to survive.
During training Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose” from the first movie. Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, setting the stage for an epic culmination of his flight career. Long story short, you do not wanna miss this movie folks, so get ready! Definitely a great movie to return to theatres to see if you haven’t been back to the movie theaters yet since the pandemic!
